I haven't seen anything more about this in any paper... How come? Did the person die of natural causes? Was it a suicide, or maybe a homicide?

Is it safe to go to Cheesquake Park or not?

So many questions left unanswered for the people who use the park or live near it.

Why hasnít there been a follow-up?

I think you are cofusing the issue in the park with the nursery rhyme "Jack and Jill".("Jack fell down and broke his crown" et. al.) The person that died in the park was attacked by a bear. They are trying to keep it quiet due to the confidential nature of the bears relationship to the park rangers. However, I know for a fact it was a bear. The bear has been in the park since at least 1958.

Like I said before; I'd like to see a follow-up on this so I'd appreciate it if you could tell me where you got your information.

Thank you.

I'm a friend of the family who is grieving the loss of the deceased. It was a tragic, accidental death - no "mystery", homicide, etc. Thank you to those who are sincerely concerned; and to those who choose to make jokes, I only pray that you don't have to ever experience the sudden loss of a loved one, especially one of such a young age who had a bright future. The family requested to keep the information private, and their request was respected by the authorities. God Bless.

Thank you.

Again my prayers go out to the woman and her family.

I'm just surprised that a news media doesn't [at least] inform the public that it was a tragic accident.

This could be done the same way the orginal article was written. No name was mentioned then and they could do the same in a follow-up report.

Thank you, "Concerned in E. Brunswick". Perhaps a follow-up article can be printed to ease the minds of those who worry about incidences in any park, while still respecting the privacy of the family. Thank you.

I can understand why those who did not know the deceased may be concerned and question the two recent deaths and begin to question or feel alarmed. I don't know the details of yesterday's tragic discovery, but from what I've learned, it is completedly unrelated to last onth's Cheesequake incident. Again, the family of the deceased from Cheesequake Park is grieving and wishes to keep their privacy, and we should respect that. Let's do the same for the family of yesterday's deceased. Thank you.

People fall down hills all the time. It certainly is tragic when this leads to an accidental death. As for bears in the park, I grew up on the edge of the CP, Dock Road to be exact, and have seen many odd things roaming the woods. I once saw a group of foxes attacking a large owl. We used to wander all over the woods at all times of the day and night and I never saw or heard of a bear. It's a bit far to the south for bears and although it seems vast, there is rarely a time when you are more than 10 minutes from a road or highway.

Dear "JAY". In your 1/16/10 post, you indicated that you would like people to know what really happened. Since you haven't posted since then, I don't understand why you posted at all. I'm a friend of the family of the deceased. They are grieving and it's eating them up as to how this tragic accident happened, especially since the autopsy results appeared to differ from what the state police were trying to say. We can't help but think that the state police were too quick to determine the cause of death, without waiting for all test results to be completed. If there's any further info you have, I hope you give it to the proper authorities. Thank you.

All my respects to the family of the victim. They have my sympathy.

The local papers are notorious for posting stories and not following up. On another case, a couple of weeks ago there were back to back bomb threats in schools that got a lot of coverage in the news. A lot of local authorities were involved, even the FBI.

But there has not been any follow up since then. We don't know if there were any arrests, or any accountability for these actions. It would be nice to hear how things are going and see who is accountable for these terrible actions.
