Lookingass has difficulty with reality and maturity. Just a remark like that indicates he's a clown.

He'll be in Baldwin tomorrow, looking for a gay bar?

No, I think it is the design of the roads that is at fault...all the roads.

I would just like to express my sincere sympathy to the Rossano Family. Christina Rossano, who I knew as "Aunt Christine", was my best friend's aunt. She was on her way to her brother's house as it was my best friend's wedding day. We were all getting ready for the wedding when the news came in & this jovial day instantly changed. Mr. and Mrs. Rossano had to grieve quickly before turning their focus on getting through their daughter's wedding day, we all knew that is what Aunt Christine would have wanted. Today, however, their focus will be on absorbing the reality of this traggic accident. This family is like my own & I love them all dearly. My family's thoughts and prayers will be with them all during this time.
I would also like to thank the police officer who was kind enough to take the time to give me the information the family needed at the scene. The Suffolk County police officers were very understanding and sympathetic, and I thank them for that.

My sincerest sympathy goes out to the entire Rossano Family. I have known Christina for over 5 years. I am a single mom and she has been an integral part of my family. Christina has been an important part of my support system because she cared for my young son wile I worked since he was 4 years old.I never had the pleasure of meeting her family, but she spoke fondly of them many times. I know that she had been joyfully waiting for this wedding since last year. My heart is broken that she is gone and I am not ready to tell my son what happened, I don't think he could handle it. Christina was always so full of life and joy, and I feel blessed that she was there for us when we needed her. I have been searching the paper to see how/when I can pay my respects. If a small family service is planned, and I can't attend,I will understand. Please reply back if possible.God Bless.

Long Island roads are tame compared to upstate NY or other regions.

I think an under-reported contibuting factor for single car accidents are falling asleep behind the wheel. This was a 6 am crash. Maybe he dozed off. Most of us have gotten away with this simply by being lucky.

I apogogize for rude remarks on other posts and will not get involved in that again.

I love how nobody made a comment about the guy driving the wrong way on sunrise highway. What ever happened with hating drunk drivers? As soon as people read some Spanish last name, immediately everyone assumes that he's illegal or a criminal. The article doesn't mention anything his status but yet everyone assumes the worst. Once again, nobody cared to make a comment about some guy (with a non spanish last name) driving the wrong way on sunrise highway nor questioning whether or not he had a legal status or not.
These forums are sick and full of hate! Some even laugh at the misery and misfortune of others.
What's wrong with you people? We now laugh when people die and wish ill on others because they are not the same as you. WTF makes you so special? you bleed the same? you cry when your family members die? you feel hunger...you feel pain... you worry ... we are all the same.
I truly feel sorry for all these people. This is a horrible story. Four dead people in a matter of hours. And I feel even worse for those that do not show any remorse for the pain of others. May God protect you always and never make you suffer.
I don't know where you live but I lived out in Suff. Country for a great # of my life and I am familiar with the pine barren areas well...all of the areas mentioned and what you have to realize is that mostly everybody out there is a racist person who live isolated lives. So when you put this into the equation, having kindness, sympathy, logic, dicency, is madness.-sorry but that's what it is.

No one knows if the driver of the vehicle was drinking. I know a lot of people that go to parties and do not drink knowing they have to drive. It could have been a wrong turn onto the highway due to the misleading arrow West bound sign on Wading River Road. Take a drive there and find out for youself. Head North on Wading River Road at the intersection of Sunrise Hwy you will see a turning lane and an Arrow stating West which will lead you right down a two way roadway and then onto the ramp of the sunrise hwy heading the wrong way! Detectives have stated that it has happened before.

Yo who let this loser post when they don't even know the facts I swear it should have been you instead of him obviously you are such a waste of life you can't even make a correct post. And for all of the other people talking about Chris on here he hade as much stuff in his life as eveyone else that has nothing to do with this. All this was is an unfortunate accident that is why it is called an accident so next time you get into an accident which is eveyone here how about you think about what you write before assuming you know that is going on.

Actually, it's merely a thought. Having seen him DD multiple times, and not leave until he's quite sure he's perfectly capable, we do not believe alcohol was the problem. There is a series of poor road signs in the area, and it was 3:30 in the morning. Tiredness unfortunately makes a mistake an easy result.

We fear he left not drunk, but tired, and made a mistake reading the roadsigns there trying to make sure he was home for his daughter in the morning. We are waiting for the police report, same as everyone else.

We all feel terrible for both our family and the family of the other man, innocent as he was, in this tragic accident. Not all accidents though, even ones that look like it, are alcohol related. I know what the statistics say, however, and I can't stop your belief.

My thanks for your prayers.

people have to stop assuming and wait for the test results to comeback. This was tragic to both families. Herb was also going to what he loved; his daughter. he was a great man and will never be forgotten.

First of all....The reporter who did this interview clearly made up their own minds about what happend that night. I was there when the report was being given by the family. That member of the family DID NOT state he was drinking at all! All that was said was the fact that he was coming back from a Halloween Party. No one even took into consideration that he may have fallen asleep at the wheel? Everyone can come up with their own conclusions, but the fact is NO ONE really knows what happened that fateful night. Except for the ones that lost their lives. If you don't know the facts, don't assume you know what happened!

I think the reporters should actualy get their facts straight before they print a story. You insinuate that he was drunk and veered onto the other side of traffic. As far as i know he followed a sign that said west on an east side of sunrise highway. As to weather he was drinking or not only a toxicology report will tell. Unfortunately there is nothing anyone can say or do to change that night. Accidents happen to good people. I see there are alot of people out there very quick to judge and call names, i hope each and every one of you can look in the mirror and say that you are perfect and that you never have nor ever will make a bad judgement call. I love my husband, i know man that he was. He would do anything and everything for anyone. His friends and family will never be the same.
