Just what they needed. Now they'll have a place to sell/use drugs and commit other crimes.

I would not be congratulating Legislator Browning or Councilman Romaine. The skate park issue has been around for over 10 years and everyone has dragged their feet. It took the kids to rise up and demand this park and also the fact that we are in an election year to actually get things moving. That is the only time elected officials really act is when they think they can get a few votes.

I think that it would be a great way to keep kids from skateboard on the street. Especially on william floyd parkway, that is the deadliest road.

This could be a fun thing. But we are Liable Lawsuit Happy Long Island. It will end up being a place for the Gangs to hang out and keep out the ones that really want to enjoy it.

URBAN LOOK???? Just give it 2 weeks and it will look like a ghetto motif with all the local rif-raf, and we all know who we're talking about. I guess the value of that area should be crashing soon. Sure glad I moved outta there 5 years ago, its starting to look like Bed-Stuy!!!

Kate Browning and Keith Romain are know-nothing do-nothings. We need some real representation! I want Joe May.

This is something that has been needed for a long time now. These kids have nowhere to go to enjoy their hobby of choice. The Mastic area looks nothing like "Bed-Stuy". If this were your town you wouldn't be putting it down, you would want somewhere for your children to participate in a positive activity.

If Mastic was my town, I would be working two jobs to get myself and my family the hell out of there!. And yes, it does look like "Bed-Stuy." But thankfully that will never happen to me. I would rather live in my car before I lived in such a depressed area such as Mastic, or any other depressed area for that matter! Sorry, I have higher standards for myself.

Have you looked around? They are from our town... all these kids are skateboarding at the stores, busy roads and side roads..... it will actually get these kids off the roads and out of our way when we drive or walk. It can actually be a good thing, occupy the kids, get them off the street and out of trouble.

I could not agree more. These are good kids who frustrated that they have no where to go. Yes, they may dress a little weird but they are not druggies or criminals. It will be a good thing for everyone from the kids to the store owners who have to keep chasing them away. I wish people would just stop being so negative about everything.

Does anyone in that town have pants that aren't down around their knees and have a hat that isn't worn sidways?
Gee, and 'they' wonder why there is a segrigation, racist issue. Try to assimilate!
