i cant believe im reading half of these comments and half of these people that left a comment are going to sit here and be a complete jerk and call alex names like forreal? grow up a little bit people. i know the driver and alex i go to school with both of them and i think its heartbreaking that he is gone but come on people show a little respect ok? im 16 and im more mature than some of the people on here with there compliments and ryan your right about your comment. but for the person that is sitting there and saying we all have our facts wrong well sweetie ur the one with your facts wrong. alot of people and news channels and articles all have the same story but you.
*r*i*p* Alex you will be missed <3

Everyone who is about to side with the driver take a second and think.. Why didnt the driver get out of the car and tell the 19 year old to get off of his trunk? it's his car, he's responsible for everyone in the car. The driver is responsible for what happened.

Did it ever occur to you that maybe the drive DID stop and that's how the kid lost his balance and fell off the car?

My sympathies to BOTH families, we try to teach our kids right from wrong, to be responsible, we just hope that when they're out they're careful. I always tell my kids to be careful, no horsing around and most importantly that I love them before they go out. I would be devastated as I'm sure all of the parents involved are. Why does everyone always have to pass judgment? Accidents happen, whether they could have been avoided or not, they're still accidents, no one intentionally caused this, no one wished for it and everyone would have taken back that one minute of time if they could. My thoughts and prayers to all of the family and friends.

It's a shame and a disgrace that the youth of today don't use common sense when it comes to making decisions about their welfare. At the age of 16 and 19 years old, they are old enough to know the difference between right and wrong. Unfortunately, too many choose 'wrong' over right and end up dead.

The kid that was driving is responsible for that car. He should have stopped when the other kid jumped on. No matter what way you slice and dice it, the driver is partially to blame. This is truly a sad. I have kids of my own and couldn't imagine losing on of them, no matter what age.
Ohhh, I agree with you. The boy is responsible for his car. They both were kids. I don't think he should be held accountable for for the kids life. If he were fifty and driving that car that would be different. They both were kids. I remember riding on the hoods of cars or in the back of a truck when I was young, hanging out the t tops of cars. i got lucky just as I am sure alot of you did the same thing when yo0u were young. It was a terrible accident. The driver should have used better judgement but again they are kids.

Dumb asss kid got what he deserved. How much of a complete moron do you have to be to "car surf?" Was his family inbred?

It is amazing how people defend stupid actions like this. Both idiots, the driver and the surfing retard are just plain idiots.
