That pumpkin could make a lot of pies or the world's largest pumpkin pie! How many gallons of whipped cream could cover it? Let's ask Betty Crocker and the Pillsbury Dough Boy for help. Now that would be a MN record.

Wow! I would've stopped at 1,000 pounds. LOL! I also hear that Regis and Kelly will be doing 30 costume changes for their annual LIVE Halloween show on Friday, Oct. 29. Check out this photo of them as the cast from Jersey Shore!

I thought it would be good to add the fact of the original founder of the event is not spoken about. Matt Marose of Elmwood , WI was the founder of this fest, and ran it for the first 3 years, before other members he got on board with the event decided to take over it. They gave him a personal invite to the event on the 9th, but did not give him any honors for starting the event itself. Matt grew two pumkins over 900 pounds right in Elmwood this year, one being 926 lbs, and had a couple more over 800. He has definately felt a bit left out, when they brought him up to the event intentionally, then basically blew him off, when the record was set. Matt states there are many other ingrediants to the growing of such pumkins, not only the few stated in this article.
