When will this nightmare of human frailty stop? Killing our own families and ourselves isn't the answer. Something's got to give. My heart aches for the people left behind.

How terrible. Makes me sick to think a little child was murdered. Why on earth do people think they need to take others with them when they kill themselves? Are they that egotistical to think the rest of creation cannot get along without them?

Kathi must be a neighborhood gossip who has to be first with the scoop. Every story has one who has seen the whole thing and knows it all.

Starting to believe this is really hell. What did we all do to deserve being sentenced to hell?

god bless this family as it attempts to heal and understand an act that no one will ever be able to truely understand. Tonight I will hug my kids a little tighter and say a prayer for this family.

This is so sad. I don't understand how people can ever harm a child. I already read another article of a guy who killed his 3 kids ages 7-12 then failed to take his own life. I can't imagine what went on in the children's head watching their father shoot their siblings before turning the gun on them.

My prayers goes out to the families of these victims.

How tragic! If someone wants to end their own life, its sad they don't value life...but to kill innocent people, especially a child..how heartbreaking...

Ya know, if you feel you have to kill yourself go ahead, but leave innocent people alone especially the children, they get no choice. No one considers the ripple effect. The family left behind, the children that knew this little girl at school, anyone whose life these people touched. It is sad indeed. Our prayers and thoughts go out to everyone affected by this tragedy.

The police not releasing names has nothing to do with the grieving family's privacy. Names are only released to the public in homicide/suicide/death incidences after family has been notified. Most likely the investigating officials have not yet been able to contact next of kin as of yet.

While KathiW's comment is gossip-y and slightly inappropriate she doesn't deserve that much ignorant backlash for it.

As for those commenting that the guy should burn in hell for what he did, that's not for you to judge. The whole situation is a travesty, and pointing fingers and spreading negativity isn't going to help.

I hope that the remaining family members are able to move past this in a healthy manner, and not be too considerably affected by these horrible events. My condolences.

Hey Sharpsville PA, we're grateful you're not here as you've judged a whole city by a few...you said it, big city, lots of people...not everyone here goes around killing folks.
Kathi, you should have waited til the media released the name after the families were notified...privacy. Opinionated's comments were correct, the media waits til the appropriate people are notified...you should have done the same.
As for this being hell, I don't think so. We have created the situations with our insenstivities, disrespect, animosity, and particularly our lack of following the wonderful guidelines set forth by God thru the life of Jesus. We're lost...we need to find our love for fellow man.
