l believe the people that live in this areas need to help clean up the streets of the drug dealers and lock them all up and throw away the key for good they dont deserve living around us people who never did drugs either and are yrying to live with out these srumbags running are town and trying to get are kids hook on there drugs they are selling in are towns.. lm sick of having to worrie adout theses scumbags running are towns and taking it over by selling there drugs here. l know someones to that do that should be lock up for it. there ar ones that live at, 10 Debra Drive upstairs and down stairs to l no the apartments there that are doing drugs there to. there's ones that live in 2 bedrooms apts that are growing drugs in there apartments to that live there l over heard them talking about it to.. l cant under why Debra Drive dont put them out and let ones that dont have a record live there instead of drugies and drug dealers. l dont tink its fair for us good people to have to live near these scumbags and fear for are own safety to.wondring when they might break in your apartment and rob you to suport there drug habits.

I got news for you fools! The whole town is trash. There are sex offenders on east orvis street, tamarack street, as well as drug dealers over on hamburger hill. Wake up! There are barely any good streets in this town. Open your eyes dumbasses"

There has definitely been a change in Massena these past few years. It is just generally creepy to walk through certain neighborhoods now. I hear about some guy getting his ear cut off, a group of people held hostage at gun point because their friend owes drugs to somebody, all the heroin coming in now, all in Massena but not in the papers.
Walking a mile in these people's shoes is useless, they are dangerous losers who must be controlled the same as cock roaches. They are all involved in the drugs trade or close to someone who is. Obviously, Sycamore, Hoodlawn, Liberty, Center, and a few other select streets are the most guilty, why do you think those kids who get caught vandalizing the town are in that area? A bulldozer brought in while the rats are sleeping should make us all feel a little safer.
I'd also like to remark that for those of you who are delusional enough not to believe this is the way of things, why don't you wait until the next 95 degree day and see if you can count the shirtless, sunburned, greasy, unbathed, overly-tattooed, chain-smoking porch monkeys we have in this town. And I am talking WHITE people. No doubt they can't afford a single air conditioner for their low rent apartment because it is all spent on oxy, cigarettes, weed and Taco Bell, hence they have to sit outside on hot days to stay alive.
Also, you'll notice there is a sudden influx of black people into this town. What are they doing here? Are they coming for the jobs? Their dad is your new family dentist? No. They are coming up here to a) Deal drugs or b) are fresh out of prison and their parole officer recommends they come up here due to the cheap rent, cheap electricity, and then they get on public assistance and begin mingling with the other emmy award winners on Hoodlawn and wherever else, since no one will hire them, and the drug trade continues to expand.
So I agree, we need to clean up Slumsena big time. I hate to say it, but it's areas around Alcoa field that make me feel comfortable with gated communities. Just fence them off and let them fight amongst each other, and let the decent people lead their lives.
The worst streets in massena are Water Street, the whole woodlawn, sycamore street area and everything to the left of willow to center streets.these skumbags need to leave Ever have the honour of seeing all the parolees marching into the police station on wednesdays to see their parole officer. Its quite the sight seeing the varmit on parole

One reason the village has gone down the crapper is the loss of better paying jobs, GM and Alcoa have influenced the outcome of the surrounding area. We need these jobs to keep the community together!!

To "True That"...you say you work ...That's wonderful! If only more young people would show some ambition that would be a start. Drive around and look at some of these houses people actually come out of. They are disgusting!!! They don't bath, don't bath their kids, yards are full of mud and garbage, skinny sickly dogs chained up. Just hanging out! Usually with a beer in one hand and a cigarette (of some sort) in the other. Compliments of those of us who work!!! They fill the bars . Compliments of those of us who work!!! Not a care in the world!!! They know that welfare check'll be in the mail. Keep having kids! Don't take care of them...just keep having them. Again, working people pay!!! Massena used to be a nice place but unfortunately over the years it has gone down hill. Take away the 20+ somethings that don't work and you wouldn't have too many people left. Welfare isn't a career...but too many families have made it just that. Generations of welfare...pretty sad. Get of your damn lazy asses and help yourself!!! They do walk right into traffic and they don't care!!! They're cool!!! Especially the ones with their pants down to their knees. Aren't they impressive? Scumbags is putting it nicely!!!
well einstein...there is more people than jobs....and there are no good paying jobs...its like finding a diamond in the rough...bottom line there is a lot of mental illness in Massena and if they are embarassing you then you live next door and that doesnt say much for you....you cant be serious! be more specific genius...tell us where these jobs, high or low pay are!. they send the ssi'er'sto Massena and Ogdensburg...wouldnt want to emabarass a college town....they would be known as the scum hole college town....AVOID...be realistic who ever you are...
YOU remind me of a narcisisstic idiot. no jobs and what there is is mimimum wage unless you have an MD. and even dr'
s that were born and raised in Massena are relocating because they can quadrupal or even more increase their income....we get the left overs...
we are liquidating and moving to florida...

This is an excellent essay describing why we left. The exodus from Massena is soon to end. Because there will be no one left capable of leaving. The old will die there. The young Will flee there. No one will but the indigent will be left there. This is your inheritance. Bathe in it. The squalor you find is the harvest of the seed you sowed decades ago. As you sow, so shall you reap.
