I thought every kid in Massena ran rampant around the Mall on Friday night with no parental supervision. That's what it looked like when I was there! Holy wild childs.

Yeah I've been there too on Friday nights, it's just a huge example of showing there needs more stuff here for them to do. Not all kids here are into skating, or hockey, a day like today where the high is +7, a Chuck E Cheese could have been packed, or even like I said earlier Cosmic Adventure. In CT; where my kids used to live, what I loved was something called Jump Zone. It had 8 or 10 massive maze like Jump houses, some were shaped like dinosaurs and some were large jumphouse slides. It was about 30 bucks for my 3 kids for 3 hours, and the kids would have such a blast. Having one of those would help as well.

I'm not a fan of Target myself but I wouldn't appose it. If anything they need an electronics store like Best Buy. Wal-Mart and Office Max do not stock things most electronic savvy people enjoy. Plus Office Max is ridiculously expensive and I've had nothing but bad luck with Wal-Mart bought electronics.

A TARGET would be nice, but you will never see it here. the population is not big enough for one, and getting smaller here every year. Incase you haven't notices, but there has not even been a new store in the mall, for years. Everything that has been proposed up here has fallen through. Just like the race track, you hear nothing about it anymore, and i can guarantee you that will not come about either. ALL talk around here and no action.

you will never see a TARGET here in MASSENA, we don't have the population to support it for one, and more and more people have left the area every year here. incase you haven't notices, check out the mall, half of the mall is empty, and has not had a new store in years. its sad but the truth of the matter is there is nothing to keep people here anymore, no one is hiring, and seems like everything that is proposed, never comes to fruition. Just like the proposed race track, nothing has been said about it at all, and i can guarantee you, that will not come about either. We need some fresh blood, and get rid of the people in office that are doing nothing to promote the area.

Thats because of all the sad ass republicans running this town. Once the republicans took over we totally lost our old hometown feeling. Downtown Massena went totally dead. All of it. Any other smart thinking individuals would look at this town and see we have two rivers coming in and would monopolize on it like other areas. Putting shops and restuarants, more camping facilities along the edges. No but nothing here, just alot of Good Ole Boys making shitty decisions that only line their pockets and are good for them only. Does anyone remember downtown in the 1970's and 1980's. Grants, Fishermans, Levigns, Preatts and Kinneys on the Corner, Snow falling and Christmas music in the streets, the feel of old town community. That was one the democrats ran the town. Now it is nothing but a cold empty place that the business can hardly hold on to their bread and butter.

Hey, I've got an idea, why not focus on the what have's instead of the have nots? Massena has alot of great things. The down town there is beautiful and thriving, the mall still has some stores and gets a lot of busniess, the mini mall in town and Walmart draw alot of business in, you've got a lot of great restaurants and a very active community. There are quite a few things for the kids to do and you've got what sounds like a fun winter carnival coming up. Focus on the good things about Massena instead of the negative! Just a thought... Don't mind me if you want to be a glass half empty person today.
