Remember to put your big items out for clean up days. Anything that fits into a garbage bag should go out the week before on your regular garbage day.

Any thing that fits in a garbage bag should go out every week, why would you hord your garbage when the truck goes right by your house once a week.

Doesn't the village have a 5 bag maximum per address per week? Maybe that should be increased ?

the don't follow that my neighbor puts out 14 to 20 bags regularly and they pick it up and it is full of recyclable and it's easily seen through the bag but they still pick it up

Whats up with people putting stuff out already, I know the weather has been nice but cleanup is not for another month and a half and it just looks like crap sitting out there by the road. I believe if you put it out more than a week before they are due to pick it up they will tell you to get rid of it or you will be fined.

Just because someone puts something out in their yard during cleanup week, remember, that does NOT give one the right to trespass onto my property and rummage through what's there. Number one, everything I put out during cleanup week is garbage. If it wasn't, I wouldn't be throwing it away. I would be keeping it myself. The largest bounty anyone has ever received from us was an extension cord (which didn't work) Number two, it makes it all the more difficult for DPW after I have neatly put whatever out, for people to break open garbage bags and strew everything over my lawn looking for that hidden "treasure". Have some respect for people's property lines, and more importantly, have some respect for yourselves. I own property in the mortgage hill area. If I catch anyone trespassing during cleanup week, personally, I am first releasing the 90-pound German Shepherd (and would be well within my legal rights as a property owner to allow him maul you after trespassing on my property, and btw, he's trained to go for the crotch), and then, maybe I'll think about calling the police afterwards, once I'm properly entertained. Fair Warning to All.

This would be great to watch, please video tape and post. Ya might get sued but it would probably be covered by homeowners so have fun!

First of all. Fair Warning??? Really??? WHO THE FUCKK ARE YOU??? DUH!!!

second of all you ARE NOT well within your rights to sick ur german shepard after people with intent to hurt because they are trespassing, douchbagh!! how f'n dumb are you??? I DARE YOU TO DO IT!!! I will be in the audience at the lawsuit trial...LMFAO!!! dont be stupid! if your life is threatened then you are within your rights otherwise your ass in in jail, paying medical ER bills(maybe for plastic surgery)and being sued! youre a typical uneducated redneck...lol

NOW!!! I am against people going thru my junk...it makes me uncomfortable and i find it pathetic...but some need the money to EAT!!! THE PROBLEM is people picking up junk in a rush and realizing they dont really want it and dumping it in ur yard at midnight...the other problem is when they go thru everything and make a total mess!!! the village should make it illegal, BUT that would cost money because when people take and keep ur junk it reduces tipping/dumping fees....

I DONT LIKE IT AT ALL EITHER BUDDY BUT YOURE A BIT UNBALANCED!!!

I know how messy they are, last year I had boxes of junk inside bags (to keep them from getting soaked and becoming amass of mush)and yet people opened bags, removed the boxes, went though the boxes then just left it all strewn about. I don't mind the looking ti being a pig and not picking up after.

I used to videotape my pile, was interesting to watch in fast forward as the pile shrank and shrank. Watching someone stop in full size van, leave it running for 10 minutes and not take anything is funny. They wasted more in gas then what they could glean from my pile.

Garbage is considered public property last I knew, once thrown away it's up for grabs.
