<quoted text>It would be way less then what we are paying now. You in no way pay for all your benefits, medical insurance, and retirement costs. How stupid do you really think we are. Businesses contract out for services all the time and they do it because it costs way less than doing it themselves for the exact reasons I have stated.
Do some research then come back!

It will never happen, good luck with that.

I have and there are no facts to substantiate anything you are suggesting is even remotely feasible. Also our community, compared to others North of Syracuse does more with less than others. I tried to find anything that suggest otherwise but there is nothing there.

<quoted text>It's only a matter of time before it happens. In case you didn't notice Massena is broke and they have raised taxes as much as they can, people are moving out in droves now because of rising taxes and the people of Massena are not going to take it anymore. Especially seeing the piss poor job we are getting for all the money we are paying. This storm and the lousy response of the DPW has gotten almost everyone fired up and sick of it. Just because some of you refuse to see the writing on the wall doesn't mean it's not there.
Try moving to Potsdam, Canton or even Central Square, check out the taxes. Also you must have an ax to grind with the DPW because "almost everyone" believes they are doing a good job. Not sure who you talk to

Where? Who? Who did they on tract with? Give up the research. What percentage of town and villages have done this? What savings are they claiming? You want the hinges, give up the info to make your case

LOL. EVERYONE was talking about it! At work, stores, everywhere! Not good when they don't start plowing till 7am with 6in of snow on the ground. People get upset. Makes you wonder where our property tax money goes. DPW is a bunch of idiots and it shows. You would figure they would smarten up when there talking about 30% increases in property tax. FOOL!

I have done my research now get off your lazy ass and do your own or sit back and watch it happen. All you have to do is google NYS dissolution. NYS offers an incentive to dissolve so I would imagine your lazy ass could find it on the Governor's website also. Don't expect to be spoon fed, it is not you that I have to make my case to. My case has been made by all the places in NYS that have already dissolved, they wouldn't have dissolved if it didn't save them serious money. Studies have to be performed to figure out the savings and taxpayers must vote on it to make it happen and they must have decided it was enough of a savings to do it. Try using your head for something besides a hat rack.
Show us some research other than your ability to run your mouth.

Learn to drive!!!! Get up earlier and SLOW DOWN!!!!

Stop waiting for the rest of the world to make your life easy and comfortable....the DPW folks had to drive to work just like you did.

Get over yourself and do what YOU need to do instead of waiting for somebody else to make it easier .

You knew it was going to snow so it's as much your fault for not giving extra time .

And clean off your car so you are not driving in your own personal snow storm on your way.......

Whine asses.....

I haven't said anything. You are running your mouth about dissolution, so prove it. I am pushing you to prove your claims. If you want peopl o believe you, offer the facts , actual facts, not just facts you tell other people to research and prove for you.

I have already told you the facts are on the Governor's website, stop expecting everyone else to do all the work for you. You must live in a cave if you have not heard of towns and villages in NYS dissolving and soon it will be school districts dissolving and consolidating.

All you lazy asses that sit behind your computers should go outside and pick up a shovel the men that are out plowing are understaffed (due to budget cuts) and over worked they have a life and family just like all of you and barely get sleep in between shifts let alone family time before they are called in again they are working hard so. You are safe they plow all night and day on alternating shifts not to mention sand and salt and haul snow if you see them on break why don't you take a minute to thank them for all they do. Without these men our rescue services would not be able to get out and save people quit complaining and get out and help. But keep trying to cut the village budget.

All these places seem to think it was going to save them money by doing it or else they wouldn't have done it. If you want to know the truth it's easy to find and notice Edwards at the bottom that's pretty close by.

When we contract out for plowing, sanding, and salting they will have all the time in the world for their families and sleep. If they had started earlier they wouldn't have been so behind and had to spend extra hours on the job playing catch up. I understand they were following their supervisor's orders on when to start, it's not the individual workers that we are complaining about, it is the DPW as a whole.
