Do people forget pat murphy, attend west point when they where on top of college sports.
Also don't forget his older brother Bill Murphy. Bill and Pat Murphy never lost a wrestling match or football game at Massena. Bill went on to wrestle for Syracuse and play semipro football and Pat wrestled at West Point. Pat Murphy also ran track and held records in the long jump and the 440, the 440 record was never broken.

Who cares, those people went no where. People from small towns have small minds. Massena is a prime example of that. Why don't you talk about all war stories of so called lacrosse players in massena went no where. All rumors that where started by mr slack.

Massena has produced tons of great athletes over the years and of course most don't go onto have great college careers and even fewer than that play pro sports. There is nothing bad or abnormal about that. That's true no matter where somebody grows up nor does it mean what you did in high school means you are a loser if your not eventually playing in the NFL, NHL, MLB or even in college.

The best athlete award for the MCS Hall of Fame discriminates about what sports are picked and chosen and who the person was in the hunting and pecking order of the townspeople. Most of the time someone who played hockey or football will be chosen for the hall of fame. I don't think I have ever seen someone from the golf team or even a cheerleader ever for a matter of fact. The ones choosing the people are the old coaches from those teams it seems. It's a farce to say the least! It shows loud and clear what Massena is all about.
