it was provocted...she was just waiting for a ride cuz it was -15 degrees and she used the phone to call for a ride..because she as so intoxicated a concerned citizan called police to prevent an accident, police bombarded her like she was holding the place up,which put this girl on the defense, drunk at that, the cops shouldnt be so aggresive and then they wont get aggresive responses from people.i mean come on,4 cop cars and 8 cops i would have been scared and ran too.the yelling occured during and after 5 cops tackeled this 17 year old girl.

Maybe she should have not been drunk and stoned out of her mind. Maybe she should have been in school. Maybe her parents should be charged for Endangering the Welfare. Maybe she should stop associating with heroin dealers and users. Maybe if she would have not acted Disorderly none of this would have occurred. I guess it is just easier to blame the police...right Catherine.

How could you remember this correctly Catherine as drunk as you were acting? I was there and it was one cop and you were out of control. But I guess with what ever you were on you saw 8 cops and 4 cop cars. Time to grow up Catherine.

It is spelled "provoked", "defensive" "aggressive" "citizen" and "tackled" Catherine. Maybe if you were in school not high and drunk this would not have happened and you would not have been arrested. It also says you were charged with having a controlled substance. Not your fault too I guess I guess.

As an elderly women living in this community I must say great job to our Police Officers. I have seen our young people ruining their lives with drugs and liquor more and more lately. Maybe the court can help this lost youth with some rehab. Maybe the justice system can set this girl on the right path. Where was Mom and Dad? Did they even know where their daughter was? Was she home the night before? Good job to all our men in uniform and stay safe.

The Justice system will never fix anyone who grew up with no accountability, supervision of guidance. It's impossible to fix something that took years to create.

The news article says it was more than one police officer at the scene.

Is she hot with a nice bod? she might get leniency.

As I was there I can assure you that they did not get rough with her. She was out of control. There was only one cop at first. After she walked away and refused numerous times to cooperate he called for backup. She was swearing at them and ran. She fell flat on her face and the cop finally had to get on her back to cuff her. At that point she was still kicking her legs and swinging her arms. She was completely out of control. At17 she needs to be made an example of. these kids and adults need to have harsh punishments. They will continue to act this way if they keep getting a slap on the hand. She is headed down a bad path that will lead to her death

the problem is - too many kids these days are not REQUIRED to be responsible or accountable for anything. they dont have any respect or fear of anything with a FTW attitude. they are self-centered selfish little kids with some sort of unearned sense of entitlement. they believe they deserve things without earning them in any way. they are losers. it is seriously sad and i regret that the future will not get any better with all of these losers soon to be in our society. what does this new loser generation have to offer?

nothing.

time to drop back ten and punt - formulate a new plan and hope for the best ,,, altho i dont see much potntial :(

You are right on the money!! Too many parents with children they won't put the effort into "raising". However, at her age she knows what she's doing is not okay...there's enough blame to go around without pointing fingers at authorities who are left to pick up the pieces of these broken kids!

Im not exactly sure you are "taking care" of your life. You are almost an adult, little girl, and you still cannot spell! You did, however, forget to mention that you had a NEEDLE with you - which proves just HOW you are "taking care" of your life.
Grow up, go back to school, get an education, a JOB - and be a useful part of society. If not, check yourself into rehab/detox first - THEN continue a path of righteousness.
