The Patriot Act, the CIA, and you!

CIA original charter allows it to process intelligence, not to investigate Americans.
How the USA-Patriot Act Puts the CIA
Back in the Business of Spying on Americans
The "Patriot" Act can be used to screen you for a government job. It allows local police to obtain Americans' phone calls and internet activity and give them to the CIA with no court order.
They can gather info about you even if you are not a threat- Intelligence information about Americans that could be shared with the CIA need not be information that is necessary to protect against attacks, or is necessary to the national defense or security of the United States. In other words, dissenters (people who disagree with government policy) are fair game, or just about anyone!
The act provides no safeguards for American Constitutional rights.
If you don't find this reprehensible why do you call yourself an American?
