Wow! I have read all the post. I am shocked in the lack of support. Massena needed a nice dining place and VVV stepped up. I have been there a few times. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is great as well. I had my 3 kids with me and our waitress was awesome with them. As a business owner I know there is ALOT of work (and money, regardless of whose it is) that goes into it. and it can be VERY stressful at times. So please cut the owners some slack. Also keep in mind they are NEWLY open. There will be kinks to work out. menu, staff, hours etc. let's try to be supportive instead of being negative. Give them a chance to work the kinks out.

I just came from there for the first time. I was very nice with good prices. The owners both talked to us and were very nice. I will be going there for lunch every week now.

We didn't need a fancy place. I was there and felt out of place without a tie on. They would not serve any chicken wings unless it was takeout. They missed the mark totally. They had the best location. Should have gone after the Applebies type of atmosphere. Don't get me wrong food was good. Still, there were only 3 appetizers and very limited choices for meals. Guess I am switching back to Italian Affair... :(

Do they have a suggestion box? I will go there in the next week or two. The food, everyone say's great things. They are new to the "dine in" atmosphere. It will take a little while to maximize their potential. I do wish them great success.

Hunter, where did you go? Must not have been the same place as the Vino Vidi Vici I went to because I ate pizza and wings there just last night. The atmosphere was great and you get actual privacy which i really appreciated. The owners were both there and in JEANS as I remember too and so was I... and none of us wore a tie. Wow. So no, you don't have to wear a tie and yea it helps to have a little class. Don't bother with a tie though hunter, I'm afraid you'd hurt yourself with it.

They are not on the menu. Classy is okay, but I don't think that's what this town needed. Pizza is, but not wings. Waiters and waitresses too dressed up. Just gave the wrong vibe for a strip mall restaurant. I will go back because the food was great, but it will be only once in a while when I dress up, not for a regular meal while shopping

Hey Hunter, Merry Christmas. I hope Santa brings you a ball gown so you'll feel more at home in the place. Id say ask the overdressed wait staff for the italian on the run menu. You'll be happier if youd just ask rather than being a coward and posting on topix.

Best wings in town by FAR! Had a dozen wings and sat at the bar. Talked with the owner. Great place, awesome people. They have my business!

The owner did seem very nice. Didn't know a restaurant to have two menus depending on the clientele. Will ask for the less classy one next time. I was told wings were only available for takeout. Must have been the staff made a mistake or they changed their policy. Either way, great. That will help them. I wish all the best to them.

picked up a gift certificate there the other day - not just paper, but a credit card - like Coaches uses. Except that it is nicely packaged for giving. The owner also seems like a very nice man - from Tunesia - which is on the north african side of the Mediterranean sea - almost directly across from Italy. I imagine they have a lot of Italian influence in their cooking.

Hey Hunter, since you know so much about everything, why don't YOU invest lots of money and time into a restaurant that's exactly what Massena needs... Not a 'fancy' place, but just exactly what we all 'need'... Just sayin. Put your balls out there like the people at Vino and then you get a say. Damn them for making something with class in Massena!

Have a successful local business to which I have over $250,000 invested. Thanks. Took my lumps too when I first opened. Makes you stronger. I will go back there and I look forward to seeing the changes. You have to be tough when you own a business and have a thick skin. Businesses like to hear feedback, both anonymous or not so anonymous. Like I said before, great food and the gentleman seems to have his heart into it. I wish them well. Merry Christmas.

Last night 4 of us went to dine about 9:35 pm, hoping to grab a late night bite to eat, we were doing some last minute shopping and thought, well, we are here...(the hours state 10PM)...we were refused service. Later in the night we heard we were not the only ones that were turned away at the door. Can someone explain to me how a place has posted hours but they turn away customers? This is not good business. Maybe our money just isn't good enough or they are so rich they don't need customers at night. Has this happened to anyone else?
Lots of sit down non fast food restaurants close the kitchen as much as an hour before they close the doors. This allows them to actually close at closing time rather than serve food ten minutes before the staff expects to go home. Most people realize this. But then, I suppose many people around here have no experience in anything better than fast food or diner level places.

Gourmet my ass! All of the "gourmet" ingredients are coming out of JARS, and CANS!!! Not fresh "local" food like advertised. Staff seems to not have a clue, very inexperienced waitstaff and bartenders. Seems that no one knows what is going on. Why would there be no wine list or drink menu, and no one even knows how much each drink is. For an a la carte menu (nothing included) the prices are definitely high. I support local business but I would rather go to Sabad's and get great service and ALWAYS awesome "fresh" food, not jarred/canned sodium filled artichoke, peppers, and sundried tomatoes! To bad they really got off on the wrong foot, first impression two thumbs down!

Not to mention the tyrant of a cook who does whatever he wants, thats why at 9:35 at night people don't get served because he wants to be done and go home!
Maybe consider that they're new at the sit down restaurant and learning some things as they go along. I ate there. I found the food, atmosphere, staff and pricing to all be very good and I will be going back.

It's stunning how ignorant and entitled the people around here are. IT'S STANDARD that the kitchen closes before the restaurant does. That may not be the case in a place serving food that takes three minutes to make, but when you're talking about an actual restaurant that isn't part of a chain and doesn't have 'short order' in front of the cooks title, you can regularly expect that if the doors close at ten the kitchen is likely closed by 9:30.

Are you one of those Walmart shoppers I occasionally see shopping in raggy old clothes or faded jammies? And love it there because you don't have to dress up like you do when you go to k-mart?

Normal policy in the real world is, your "posted hours" are your serving hours in the restaurant business. So, if the establishment wants to be closed by 10 and have have all patrons out the door by that time, then should post their hours as 9PM.
