Good for the police in getting that stuff off the street ,but can't say it'll be a fun night for all the junkies without their fix ,Keep an eye out the zombies will be out in force lookin for anything for their addiction and keep your doors locked..

What's really amazing is just how much they had. If they had 30 thousand dollars worth, that means there is atleast that much demand. Who would have thought there was so many heroin addicts in the area. And like other rodents, if you come across 1 there has got to be others around. So basically the problem is even worse than that. Pretty friggen unreal.

Soon you will see a lot of people dying from overdose...very, very easy to do with heroin. Hepatitis C and HIV will be rampant because once you are addicted to heroin you WILL use a dirty needle! So sad.

How do you think needle users do it? They mix the powder with water. It doesn't matter how it was found. Powder is how Heroin is sold!

And, tho dope is low and a disgusting form of getting "high", I would say crystal meth is the lowest scumbag drug out there.

Was that 1600 packs they found considered a long term supply or just enough for the weekend, Seems like a lot to me but I don't know anything about the shit and how much they're using up there ?

1,640 bundles so that means 100,640 bags that is only enough for a few days supply! Maybe even 2
Days. They bring enough up to last 2 weeks. And yes more than half the people snort and smoke it not everyone can stick a needle in there arm that is disgusting

It's suboxone that is a form of heroin, not oxys. Heroin addicts that are "recovering" get this but they end up abusing it by taking more of it than prescribed, then have to scurry around for more when they run out or they will go nuts without it

Your right.. People don't shoot it anymore because you can't hide the track marks so they snort it or smoke it. I don't believe it gives the same high as shooting though

That's one of the dumbest things I have ever read in my life! Suboxone is NOT anything like heroin!!! Here's a link Educate yourself!!!
http://www.addictionsurvivors.org/vbulletin/s...

And FYI Oxy contin and heroin are molecularly almost identical. Again here's a link for you to educate yourself with:
http://www.novusdetox.com/oxycontin-heroin-fa...

Mind you the information in that one if from the FDA. Speaking from experience of being on Suboxone for 5 years, Heroin and suboxone are nothing a like. Heroin damn near killed me and suboxone and hard work and counseling saved my life!

No really? My point was that comparing Suboxone to heroin is like comparing apples to steak. They are in no way the same. Otherwise I wouldn't have 5 years sobriety, a college degree, a job and my children. Tell me how many heroin users have any of that. Then show me how many people on Suboxone treatment do. Your point, although valid, is a redundant point people like to make who have no clue about addiction. Yes, I CHOSE to use opiates but there comes a point when it is no longer a choice.(Not to mention my sheer ignorance of opiates 10 years ago). I nearly died three times trying to get myself off these drugs "cold turkey" because I HATED what I had done to my life!
Anyone who has ever been through opiate detox knows this. People who have never been through it have absolutely no clue the pain, depression and desperation trying to detox from these drugs brings.

Any who, here is a fantastic site written my a Psychiatrist/recovering addict for anyone who is or has a loved one addicted to opiates.
