I just finished reading in todays Massena Courier the letter to the editor regarding certain board of education members and their ties to MFT.

When I looked to see who signed the letter: James Radde. All I could think of is why didn't Julie Reagan sign it herself?

No Kidding. And who wrote that for Gary Gettman. Can he even spell all of those words? Unlike the letter says, the MFT IS in it for the kids. Not themselves. The kids are the ones suffering and the teachers see it first hand. That is why they are so focused on new administration. Current administration is all about which teachers can I make miserable in their job. No focus on what is best for the students. The MFT did not vote down the budget. The community did. More than half the teachers can't even vote on the budget because they don't live in the district.

It was sad to see teachers happy the budget got voted down. There effort to promote the NO vote directly impacted the students. Field trip, supplies, etc were not there for them. BUT the teachers got their 5% raise.

Yes, got their raise, and many paid out of pocket to ensure adequate supplies for their students. Target the Taylor Law, not the teachers.

These miserable hateful vindictive people should be very ashamed of themselves. This campaign of beating everyone up shows these people's true colors and it isn't pretty. Very very sad. Teachers or bullies are they one needs to ask. Poor kids!

We can't let the teachers union take over the BOE. Vote for Fregoe and Waters - the ONLY candidates who have no ties to the union.

People really need to take their blinders off and see that the kids are just fine. Did anyone else read the rest of the paper and see that Massena ranked high in the polls? The adults are the problem. The kids are better than ever and these nitwits are using the kids as a pawn in their game because they are being pushed by retired has been's who should be minding their own business. Enjoy your retirements and let others do their jobs.

The postcard campaign was not conducted by members of the MFT. The resounding NO vote was far beyond the influence of the teachers. If an exit poll had been conducted by the BOE/admin. there would have been a clearer picture of why the vote was negative. The BOE could have put the budget up for another vote but instead, made the decision to immediately adopt an austerity budget...THAT was what determined that there would be no field trip money, supplies, equipment, etc!! I wonder if there'll be an exit poll this year?? Probably not...they wouldn't want to get an accurate picture of the voters thoughts. It's easier to determine that with their own interpretation!

The school teachers used to live on Grove st. remember Mr. Keneske, Mr. ahfield, Mr, and Mrs. Maxcy, Mr. Bronchetti, Mr. Lenney, he was a principal, his wife a teacher at Madison. All I am saying is, the teachers have made enough advances in their wages and benefits to move on to Danko land, mortgage and Wilson hill. It is now time to stop their raises and keep all school teachers and their families from running for school board.

The teachers who keep the heartbeat going for what many call the "Good Old Boys" in this town. Children are actually being suppressed educationally because they even control when and if new books are needed. They have a committee who makes sure they save money on that so they can get their raises and keep their practically free insurance. Guaranteed!!! You are not out for the good of the kids!

The Letters to the Editor were spot on!!
Don't let the MFT take over the BOE.
People cannot afford more taxes to pay the cry baby union loving teachers (who happen to be the vocal minority of the teachers).
Oh yeah, WHY WOULD THE MFT ASK THE TEACHERS WHO THEY ARE GOING TO VOTE FOR, AND "ENSURE" THE INFORMATION WON'T BE SHARED?
Under the excuse that the MFT is looking who they should endorse, they have asked the membership who they will be voting for!
You want to talk about intimidation. Does anyone know about the union threatening teachers that questioned them, or were thought to “not hate clough”? There is a group of teachers that have been black balled because they haven’t fallen in step with that clown Simpson and crew. Take a peak under the covers of the hate mongering union and a lot can be revealed.

This is still the US of A the last I knew. Teachers should not feel intimidated to vote individually outside of the what the union has to say. Stand up for what you believe in yourself. It is America you know!

I can't believe the propaganda spewed here. You think things are fine as they are? Wake up! This district is the laughing stock of the region. Ask anybody in the county privately about RC and they will roll their eyes. If you are a union member then dont hide here. Run for office. Do a recall. Try something democratic other than free speech. If you think things are fine as is you have blinders on. I am voting Serguson and Fountin because we need to change this soap opera. It has nothing to do with pro or anti union.

What would you call the bashing your little Hitler group has been doing? If you people don't like the salaries and all of the good benefits you do get, please please step aside and submit your resignation ASAP. My whole graduating class of teachers would love a teaching job at MCS. It is to time sharpen our pencils with the newest models made by updated technology. We need to throw the antique inadequate pencil sharpeners in the garbage. They are taking up to much time, money, and space we can't afford.

Don't worry, you may get your chance at a job in the district. There will be plenty of openings in teaching and administration if things don't change soon. We are going to lose some amazing people who are fed up with the horrible working conditions in the district. Its kind of ironic you should mention a dictator because that's exactly who you'll be working for if things don't change in the district.

Oh no! We are going to lose some amazing people? lol, Give me a break. Do you mean the amazing teachers who take their displeasure with administration out by organizing a group to call in "sick" at the last minute so getting substitutes will be difficult. As a result classes were cancelled and students like my daughter had to sit through multiple study halls. Doesn't sound like these "amazing people" are really putting students first. Had enough with the teachers and the union playing games. They are just as bad as Roger if not worse. Vote Fregoe and Waters!

Exactly, this all stems from Roger. I'm glad you get it. Once he's gone, this BS will be over!

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Pisces

It's a big change today after yesterday's combustible atmosphere and you're feeling more relaxed and understanding. You're even prepared to forgive someone for what you thought yesterday was a heinous crime, and ready to give them a second chance. However, let's hope that this person deserves your goodwill and is grateful to receive it.
