We got food poisoning from frozen ravioli that we bought in the Aldi's in Rego Park. This was in early March. We won't be going back. I could tell something was wrong with the ravioli when I was boiling it- it put off a slightly sicky smell so there's no way I'm wrong when I say it was the ravioli that made us sick. I was sick less than my boyfriend was because I only ate one piece of it. I really don't think think this was an singular situation. I think Aldi has questionable food safety and I won't be trusting them again.

If the ravioli smelled sickly then you probably shouldn't have ate it...just sayin'.

our aldi in prenton wirral uk is the same, food often looks like it has been tampered with,. yoghurts are mouldy when they are opened. fresh food has mould growing on it,. lettuces are often slimy. meat is dodgy.

Aldi is able to sell their products for less because when they buy them, it is close to the sell by date. Don't shop there of you don't want to take the chance. Personally, I wouldn't buy anything from there.

Appititos - Franks in a blanket from Aldi's. Vomiting and stomach pais for two days! Any recourse?

I've shopped at Aldi's for the majority of my weekly groceries since they opened in Massena, and I've never had any problems. I won't buy their cat food, because my snobby cats won't eat it, but my whole family eats Aldi brand food every week, and none of us have ever had any food-related illnesses from it.

I will not buy meat at Aldis, or any local grocery store. However I do shop at Aldis for other items, and have never had a problem with anything I have bought there.
