yes, because the decision makers at ALCOA obviously go to you for advise or to share their long term plans. People have been saying this since the mid 80's. I t may be here, it may not, it will depend on the economic conditions around the world at that time.

They put millions of dollars into the GM plant a few years before they demolished it. The major player in the decision will be all the pollution alcoa has spewed into the earth and river.

It's not really alcoa's fault(pollution). All major industries did that kind of stuff back in the day. It was just a part of the time. The EPA regulates it now and ALCOA will do there part to try to clean it up. We better hope ALCOA stay's or the north country will be a ghost town. Let's just hope. I don't think people realize how much ALCOA does and means for the north country.

I work at Alcoa and would like to know were u people get your info. Yes the aluminum market is bad bad do u realize massena has one of the top 5 power contracts in the world you need power to make metal. As far as pollution goes yes it happens but it is regulated a lot better then the past.I personally think this is a scare tactic form Alcoa to get cheaper power and a better labor contract. Alcoa is going to shut down plants they have to but I think massena will be safe.

Nobody has put their houses up for sale today due to yesterdays news. You people are retarded. If you think that massena will be the only town affected then you are also retarded. Not to mention that this is a good area for economic development.
