O'Donnell drinks n drives all the time. Been at Charlies and the Delmar asking people to find him cocaine and marijuana. Or just to get him high. Tony Fiacco WAS in rehab for his pill addiction. Retired (forced) from Massena PD. Cheif Tim stole $10,000 from evidence. And hes a closet homosexual. Loves the younger guys. Anyone know that? Fuckin hang em all I say.

i believe it nothing surprises me when it comes to the massena police department and 60% or better of our village taxes go to pay for that mockery of a police department GET RID OF ALL OF THEM let the state police take care of massena it would significantly lower our taxes and we would be getting something for the money we spend instead of a police force full of lawbreakers!!!!

Tim is responsible for Tim, only. He cannot control the actions of others. I am sure he is very disappointed in all of these indivuduals who for whatever reason, made poor choices. He has a very stressful job and it is a shame that he has to worry about his officers who should be wearing their uniforms with pride, respect and honor. It is an embarassment to the police department when a few bad apples ruin if for the rest of the bunch.
I've known Tim most of my life.....no matter what anyone in here says..he ALWAYS does the right thing for the Police Force and Massena. No matter what...he has arrested his brothers; no matter what he fired his brother; no matter what he leads the safety of our community' no mater what, when there is a conflict, or a potential conflict, he turns it over to another agency. Bottom line..like him or not..he is owed our respect. He is not responsible for the personal actions of his employees.

ok to all the ople that voiced there opinion on here. I think you all need to get your facts straight. I just read the artical. Mike Odonell was off duty and HE WAS NOT DRIVING ANY POLICE VEHICLE WHEN HE HIT THAT POLE!!!! Now do I condone this , No but why do people have to make up sht on here?? It,s bad enough what happened but why add to the drama? Oh I forgot this is Massena!!!!!

Apparently some people watch too much CSI and have their armchair criminal justice degree. Officer Odonnell will be treated by the court system just like everyone else arrested on their first non-felony DWI..he will be fined, possibly probation, insurance hike, points on licence, maybe detox and allowed to go home hopefully a smarter man. There is no way any judge is going to risk his career by giving a buddy a lesser punishment than they just gave Joe Smoe the day before for the exact same crime. Especially on such a high profile arrest like this. How many times do you see ROR'd in the paper for someone with a DWI?
Secondly, his work punishment has absolutely nothing to do with his court punishment. Can an employer fire one of their workers because they were arrested for something while not working? If they could, there would be a lot of job openings all the time in all the fast food places.
I am sure he will be punished by his employer also because of his type of job, and I hope he gets a second chance. Think of how many potential lives he may have saved in his career by arresting the intoxicated drivers?
All the cop haters are haters for a reason...they have been spanked. How do you know Officer Odonnell is always out drinking and driving unless you are also out all the time to see him?

<quoted text>
PER THE DAILY OBSERVER:
DWI - MASSENA - An off-duty village police officer, who was charged with driving while intoxicated following a property damage accident late Tuesday evening, has been placed on administrative leave.
Officer Michael W. O'Donnnell, 45, of Massena was driving his own vehicle when it slid off the road and struck a utility pole, police said.
Police Chief Timmy J. Currier said Mr. O'Donnell was taken into custody after officers determined he was drunk.
"The on-duty supervisor notified me, and I immediately called the station commander for the New York State Police and requested that they take over the investigation," Mr. Currier said.
Troopers took Mr. O'Donnell into custody and charged him with driving while intoxicated. He reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.15, nearly double the legal limit in New York state.
"Enforcing the law when it involves one of your own is not pleasant, but not only is the right thing to do, it is the only thing to do. My staff did exactly what is expected of them," Mr. Currier said.
The chief said Mr. O'Donnell, a 13-year member of his department, has been placed on administrative leave pending action by the village Board of Trustees
And I know this is going to piss off a lot of people but I think the road conditions had a little something to do with it ;)
The road conditions caused him to drink and then drive?

might be out all the time {which is not a crime} but am responsible enough to take a cab i guess according to you that cops don't have to have that responsibility and a lot of people who hate cops haven't been spanked they are sick of their tax dollars being wasted on public officials who break the laws they are supposed to uphold so GET A CLUE! If he keeps his job then we the tax payers will have to pay for his retirement and health care for his whole family until he dies thats a lot of tax dollars for a basic criminal! Know your facts before you make yourself look ignorant!

The world is full of "what if's". It is what it is and people love to blow things out of proportion, especially when it involves a public figure. What if you didn't have a computer? We wouldn't have to listen to your one sided nonsense.

You are the ignorant one. Read how ridiculous your post is. Judge, jury and executioner, right? You have never in your life done anything wrong and you are perfect right? Posting on here, I sort of doubt it. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
