that call rang out around 3am woke me up from a sound sleep...house fire...racing to the scene blue lights flashing to help our community in distress...men putting on geer..they worked for hours in heat till the fire was out...cleaned up, had a cup of coffee and went to work...this is done every day 7 days a week 365 days a year...we don't get paid to do it we want to do it!!!! your complaint is????

1) 60% reduction home property taxes

2) Free 2 week paid vacations every year/

3) retirement program

4) insurance.

5) use of tools and all equipment in the fire house.

6) Use of members only Bars and Catering halls inside these over the top fire houses. They have professional kitchens with high end appliances with 4 & 5 ice machines.

The complaint is that you vollies strut around like you are doing the world a favor by staying sober when you fight a fire or respond to an accident call;

AND you get monetary benenfits for "volunteering".
