Sharp reaction to Peter King's statements on Jackson

Reaction to Rep. Peter King's Web video lambasting Michael Jackson and media coverage of his death was sharp , with many commentators seeing his comments through the prism of race.

First off, Michael Jackson was never convicted of anything, and last time I looked, innocent till proven guilty still applies in this country, Massapequa Park included.

Second, I don't recall King expressing worries about leaving children and/or grandchildren alone with priests, when they were being tried, convicted and jailed for pedophilia by the bushel.

I dont know what Peter pretends with his offensive words, but it´s ok, we simply love Michael Jackson and we are just hurt by the fact that he´s gone.
I read something about Peter on his words meaning something like, we are like forgetting the people who are going to war and dying and all those things, he knows that is not truth, when we see a soldier dead, we all get the pain, Im sorry but I can assaure him that those who have lost people because of these lately wars, dont stay out there forgetting about their relatives and crying for Michael.
the only difference here is that, we all know Michael, and we all enjoyed his time on earth, so we just miss him.

MJ has sold 750 million solo albums. To be generous, let's say MJ has 100 million fans that love him, with over 6 billion people in the world, that would be less than 2% of the world that loved him. That is no where near the majority.
