I can't believe the local gov't let this happen! Kate Murrey and Ed Mangano are the 2 who should be held accountable. I do place a little place on Charges Wang also. That Lighthouse project was never going to happen and he should have put the colisium ahead of the rest of the project. The Isles would have been in a new arena by now. But, Instead his greed took over and he lost out all together.
I hope all of you nassau tax payer are prepared for the future tax hike.
What are they going to do with the property? Housing, No who would want to live there?
Office space. No! There is a enough empty office space all around nassau.

I think the Lighthouse project was too big but Wang knew he was bleeding from the Islanders and wanted a way to eliminate the debt. The name of the sports game is buildings and the revenue you can get for executive boxes and seating. The people made their choice they didn't want to invest in a sports arena. Times are tough and it was tough to justify spending money on an Arena but Wang, as a business man did what he had to do. Be happy he stayed in New York . I think as an Islander fan this will be a win for the organization.

time to build that casino...alot of people are for it, and alot against it.
just go to the casino in queens, resorts world and take a look.
it beautiful, clean, well kept and fun to go to.
they had restaurants, a hugh bar with the biggest tv i ever saw and of course slot machines and gambling.
the traffic situation around the coliseum wouldn't be any worse that it is during a concert or sports event.
it would be a big money make for nassau.

let's face it, with all the new stadium being built around ny/nj, nobody's coming to LI to play sports, its over....
