I have had bellmore towing sent to help me when my car wouldn't start. The tow driver was respectful and professional. I would use them again.

Haha, what a doosh bag. Just based on what I have read here I will not do any business with these "sensible" meat heads over at bellmore towning and will advise neighbors and friends to avoid. I can't believe anyone who represents a local business would come on here and speak so unprosfessionaly like this.

Sounds like a buncha Tony Tortillini's and Mike Manicotti's...

Honestly folks, there are always a few bad apples in the basket. The towing industry is a very criticized under appreciated industry. I agree as for driving unsafely is totally unacceptable. And yes I have dealt with shall we say "conceded" attitudes with some drivers. Its a job that few people want or can do. Snow, rain, angry customers etc. Then the broad spectrum of the history of how they always want to rip you off. Alot of drivers get paid by the hour which isnt all its cracked up to be. hoping that the customer might show a little gratitude for the 5am tire change in the rain with 2$ for a cup of coffee. Which also doesnt happen all of the time. The "chasers" and commission compaies have given the industry a bad name. Some are quick to gripe about "parking" and taking up too much room, and there is a valid point there. Mostly the guy is just trying to do his job, remember , you or your family could be the customer he is going to help out. only then is it ok for him to block another car in because there is no room in a parking lot. There is very little room on Bedford, and yes consideration and common sense needs improvement there. I respectfully ask dont judge every tow truck driver because of a few bad ones or experiences. There IS so much more important issues to be concerned about that parking or who is working there. And people have bad days and respond alike when addressed harshly. People are people and there are all types. I for one have driven a tow truck for years. as my primary job, and as a 2nd job. On Long Island. I speak from over 20yrs experience. I loved my job. at times hated it. both reasons? the customers I was helping. Again, there is no excuse for rudeness, being unsafe and plain inconsideration. but dont kill the messenger. More often than not, the driver is a decent guy trying to make a living and is there to help YOU. I do apologize for the realization that some do the job for the sake of a paycheck and not because they enjoyed it and the aspect of being "the hero" for that moment. I for one do miss it, because one nice person offering a water makes up for the 5 that were mean. BTW, I worked for Bellmore Towing for a long time.

I got to know Bellmore Towing and Complete Auto over 14 years ago when a friend suggested I take my car there (yes he worked there). The owner was a standup guy and treated me right. I should also say I have worked there as well; mostly due to the owner's good nature. I can honestly say I don't think the owner wrote anything here, as it is not his personality to argue over silly things; so please don't assume he's the owner. I can say that everyone makes mistakes here and there but he is a pretty honest guy that appreciates his customers. I have even seen first time customers come in for something more expensive; like a starter or alternator and leave with a bill for a battery or even just a simple battery terminal. I think THAT is honesty and good business. As for the towing aspect, there is a new person in charge and he has been working with the drivers and their interactions within the community. AAA does background checks to prevent their customers from interacting with "criminals", both on the road and in the shops. Also as for the types of people who have/do work there, they come from all walks of life...and like the person commented before, some have college educations and just are looking to do honest work. If you have any issues with an employee at BT call them and let the managers know how they can improve; and if you have something nice to say, call them too.

I was lied to by Bellmore Towing and left on the side of the road for several hours. This caused me harm at work and left children stranded. Instead of being upfront and passing on the job, Bellmore Towing told me on 3 separate occasions that they would be there in 20 minutes. Over 2 hours later I remedied the issue my self and did so without their service. I would NEVER use them or recommend them for anything. The basis of a business should be customer care and honesty. The absence of care always has ramifications. My belief was further documented by the horrible rhetoric I see in this blog. Again, I remain disappointed and will let others know.

I called these guys because we had a flat on our rover while it was sitting in our driveway. they send over a totally competent tech withing about 20 mins form our call. He carefully and meticulously removed the wheel, and took it back to the shop to fix. MIND YOU- THIS WAS ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON IN FREEZING TEMPS. they fixed the tire, and remounted.
good guys, seem to be very hard workers!

the owner of bellmore towing is the most honest person . ive been to several repair shops and he is by far the most honest. For the people who say they have been stranded for hours maybe its because you are not the only person broken down in the south shore area. If you want to complain so much, cancell your aaa membership and go pay $150 dollars for the tow instead of waiting, makes sense?
