Neatly trimmed lawns and fixed picket fences could soon be the order of the day for not only homeowners in New York, but across America, if they want to avoid hefty fines and even jail time.

you gotta love this one! WHILE I am not against the neighborhood looking nice,,,,I am notagainstpeople needing to keep thier houses groomed so the neighborhood doesnt look shabby,,,,,,I CANT BELIEVE that this is where we are going to concentrate on FINES and JAILTIME. Has anyone ever walked through the village at dusk or later or better yet walk through the parks we all pay taxes for at night. The drugs and drinking that go on there seems to be completely ignored. Under age drinking and drug deals right on the streets are ok butDONT LET YOUR LAWN GROW THERE WILL BE 10K fines and 15 days in jail. too bad we dont try these same strict threats on the drugs then we could reallly have a CLEANER neighborhood.SOME THINGS ARE NOT ON THE SURFACE sometimes you need to scratch it to find the dirt.
