Everyone has a choice!!!!!!!! Get it?????? If you chose to pollute your body than you must realize the consequences involved
That's the point. This lady makes it seems that they had no choice but to do heroin.

DARE has been proven time and time again to be ineffective and a waste of resources.
It doesn't matter what you write to my posting.... People that want to screw up their lives with drugs make a choice to do so and that is that! You are certainly entitled to your opinion and so am I!

What is your point in this matter? Heroin is very bad and that is that! The law of action reaction is a basic concept that applies here PAL!

Okay, I wasn't going to comment, but your post is just absurd.
They didn't choose to become addicts? Really? Someone made them inject heroin at gun point?
I see your a member of the school of thought of "It's anyone else's fault but my own child and possibly my own bad parenting."
You are entitled to your opinion but you know nothing about my parenting you moron.

The biggest coke addicts are the rich - they are the only ones that can afford it first of all.

Heroin was the drug of CHOICE for the Kennedy kids years ago also.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that all the articles which Newsday ran concerning heroin involved Italian kids dying? Are they abnormally dumber than others?

Maybe it's not heroin at all, maybe there's something in the marinara.

i agree with many of you regarding certain aspects of this topic...if youre going to use more manipulative drugs....youve obviously tried atleast alcohol (gateway issue)... but there is a big stepping stone when you go from for example, alcohol/marijuana to cocaine or heroin. Teens can barely drive cars how could they use any form of drug responsibly? They can't. Is there a responsible drug? thats a matter of a opinion. But bottom line teens are the ones suffering the most from drug availability and use. Parents need to DO THEIR JOBS. schools dont stop drug use....police dont stop drug use...and meetings at a library certainly dont stop drug use...you teach your kids how to drive right? take the responsibility to teach them about substances and to make sure they arent abusing them. "my son/daughter is 15 and stays out till 1am and does nothing wrong"...this is bs....bottom line....its bs...kids take the step when theyre given the step and if you arent involved and you arent a disciplinarian...half the time atleast, theyll take that step....so stop telling yourselves "my son/daughter wouldnt do that"

<quoted text>Well the truth hurts, doesn't it. Do know how many LIers I know that pop pills and pain killers just to cope with daily living. Word of advice, try being a parent and being part of your childs life so they won't need to feel specail using artificial drugs. Heroin has worst effects than crack and cocaine and is somewhat like a xanax high. If a child has self respect and acceptance there is a likely chance that with the proper drug education they will turn down the opportunity of that first high when its presented to them out of peer pressure.
Uncle Jesse...good advice...i couldn't tell you the number of parents that do not have a clue that their kids are using, heroin, oxy, vicodin etc...however, i also know a lot of kids from our town that are now totally addicted and dying from heroin..once you try it, you crave it, that is what i have heard from some of these kids i personally know..very sad situation...@$5 a bag it is cheap & available in every town..parents know what your kids are doing & know their friends...don't assume...parent your kids...
