Missing Massapequa teen found dead

Nassau police have identified the body pulled from a Massapequa canal on Monday as a 17-year-old man who had been missing since last month.

Regardless if he eas into drugs, he did not deserve to die at such a young age and no family should have to go through what his family has gone through.

Prayers for this boy's family that they may find some comfort somehow.

I never realized how rude, inconsiderate and totally horrible people can be. First of all, Massapequa is a great town and the school district one of the best in the nation. When I see things about "drug town" and "gangs", it angers me greatly. You clearly are thinking of EAST MASSAPEQUA which is AMITYVILLE School District, not Massapequa.
Second of all, how dare you insult his honor when he dies by posting hurtful comments such as "he was in to drugs". Kieran was a sweet, nice boy with still so much life to live who I was friends with at a point in my life. And for you to insult him without ever even speaking to him? I hope you realize your crude actions and instead wish that this boy rest in peace since he deserves to.

My sincere condolences to his family and friends. Whether drugs played a part in his death - no one should have to die like Kieran did. May he Rest in Peace. My thoughts and prayers also go out to all his classmates at MHS. So sorry for the tragic loss of this young man. My sincerest condolences and prayers are with his family. May he rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon him. He is with God and that is the comfort this family must take from this. It is a heartbreaker to bury a child.
