Not ALL Long Island kids are 'spoiled losers'. I'm sure you have your share of 'spoiled losers' where you live. Don't judge all of Long Island by a few jerks. We have plenty of great kids here. Newsday just doesn't ever showcase them.

There was no mention of a beating in the article. I bet they will get a beating when they get home though. At least we know where these snot-nosed punks live.

How can you make that comment? Newsday always gives praise to good scholars, athletes and samaritans. That's just not fair.

They won't get a beating. Their parents are probably talking about what "GOOD KIDS they are." Have you not noticed how parents defend these types of actions with,"made a mistake." The parents create these kids and then defend them.

Are we to believe the headline, suggesting that there was a beating, or the article stating that someone was threatened? There is no mention of anything that was actually taken, or who it belonged to. Other than the accused's names and home addresses, this article contains no information at all!

The headline does have an error, but the words "After threatening the two men with the baton the suspects stole their property" tells me that they did take something from them.

There are some Irish and Italian names in there if that is what you mean by white. I've met some fairly dark skinned Italians in my life so who knows. Anyway, Massapequa is one of those darn white neighborhoods.
