The next time Mayor Bloomberg comes to a Town Meeting in your area, let him know how you feel about the chronic ticketing in your area. People are fed up with getting tickets, many Seniors Citizens are afraid to come out and shop on the Avenues.
And businesses besides feeling the credit crunch have now felt the absence of many of the regular customers because of the constant ticketing. Whether it is Senior citizens, or single mom's and dad's, or even couples with small children, it seems like everyone is donating $35 minimum per month to the city for tickets. Like there isn't enough stress in New York already, all citizens must contend with the ever vigilant meter maids if they dare to go out shopping. It may be difficult for Mayor Bloomberg to comprehend this, since he is a Billionaire, but many families are not only living with fixed incomes, many are facing bankruptcy and loss of jobs right now. If there can be a no sales tax day. how about no meters for one week, to help citizens and business owners try and shop, spend, and make money during these difficult times? The three areas suffering the most that I am aware of is Grand Avenue,Myrtle avenue, and Metropolitan Avenue. Evidence of this, is the closing down of many stores!
