Considering enrollment seems to be decreasing, at least since I attended. It is clear the county should have taken the two school option twenty years ago. Just do what is required and don't take on excessive debt. We owe enough to China already. Elect board members that will be fair between the schools. And no, Wahama isn't big enough to need a track. Send the track and field players to Point.

I think the people of Point Pleasant are jealous of Wahama and the success that the school has. They may have all of the money and the great football complex but Wahama is family and all of our boys are supported by the entire community. That is what makes a school a success. Pride and support for all of the kids, no matter where their father works, how much money the family has or where they live. Every student at Wahama has the chance to be the best they can be. That is what a school is supposedly about. It is true at Wahama. We do not care about last names, prestige of the family or where the kids live. They are all Wahama kids and we love them all for who THEY are and respect them as individuals. That is what is so special about WHS.
Speak for yourself because we all know differently. I have been to Wahama ballgames and if you all are such a "family" why in the hell do you as fans not cheer for the team? I literally had to keep quiet when talking to a friend because the whole section of fans sat quietly with their arms crossed. I guess all the talk about being a close family is for show, well Point will give you a show, you may even need to bring along some earplugs because it gets so loud. In a nutshell, Wahama isn't
all you claim it to be. Didn't some of the students destroy their own floats during homecoming? One of the teachers was in jail for sleeping with countless students, another former teacher is in trouble for DUI and the whole GED fraud, Graham was fired for molesting a family member....and as far as the field...if you all cared so much about the students and their sports then raise the money and fix the damn bleachers instead of painting over the damn things so you can keep the so called "fans" safe. You all are pathetic to sit and make yourself sound so high and mighty when it comes to the athletics, what a joke!!!!!

Success? Lol. PP has so many individual and team state titles that the White Falcons wish they had half of that number.
Wahama is a joke. Now they must stand by and watch PP maybe bring the first football state title to Mason County. My how funny that would be.
As it was when Wayne whipped your asses!!!!!!! You thought you had it. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Arrogant people. At least Wahama knew it was gonna be a battle when they had to go play Central. Point thought it was in the bag. NOT!!!!!!

Point needs their new field. They are so important. They are AAA. The big dogs. Of course they are crying about it. They want to stay AA. Cause it ain't fair...... It was in the paper. Hope they enjoy us using their field for playoffs while they watch us from the stands. At least we will get to use the elite turf! 3272

The Board needs to care for every school in their county. They do not need to favor one school in particular. Each school has boosters but should also receive some funding from the Board. Each school has had great athletic feats of their own and they all should be recognized. Going around trash talking about the schools don't make either one anyone any better then the other. This county needs to care more about the kids, their academics, their facilities, and their teams in general. I do believe Wahama needs updates to their fields. I know the track team is a new department but they do not deserve to be shipped out every where every time they need to practice. The field at Wahama deserves a face lift. Point has worked very hard to be where they are and so has Wahama's. They all should be proud. This county really need to take more pride in the good things that they offer.

I hope they put a track and track team, don't know if Wahama has one yet, but a track team would be a good addition; it would get more students into athletics and in shape hopefully.
And scholarships! We do not get scholarships for track but they are out there and if we had a track and team the sky is the limit for our kids. OU gives full rides to track stars, trust me.

Wahama does have a track team. It was a requirement for them to join the TVC, as well as vollyball. It is only a few years old and they ALREADY have state titles in a couple events. So, yes, they deserve a track. I am glad they are expanding their sports programs. Go Falcons.

don't have to have a track to win titles - numerous teams in the state have done it for years.

Seriously??? POINT is a sad excuse for a school & the students there are completely unsupervised & use the auditorium as a hook up place Cottrill & the rest of the staff needs replaced!!
