This is wonderful. Thanks for sharing this uplifting story with us, Dispatch.
I'd love to see Groupon try to partner with charities more in the future-- what a great idea to get supporters connected with discounted ways to help.
Living Social partnered with the Red Cross and matched each $5 donation to Japan. Not sure if the offer is still standing, but I agree with you.

This is just wonderful. I have know a few kids who spent time there, and have visited on occasion. It is hard to "deinstitutionalize" a place that has to serve as home for awhile. A clean, soft, warm place to lie down at night can be a great comfort to a kid who can't be with their family.

You know what children and teens need. I appreciate your insight.

Ms. Howard is a gift to our community and to all the children who will receive this comfort and warmth. In a world full of devastation, anger, and sorrow this week, you lift us up to the good in this world. My prayers are with you. Thank you so very much.
