This story reminds me of a TV episode of Seinfeld.
When Krammer got into an arguement with a monkey.
Krammer said the monkey started it.
He also had to apolize to the monkey

This may be pay back to the K-9 unit. In many departments with K-9 units, officers are not to go into a bar fight untill a K-9 is on site. When it is the other way around, and a drunk in a fight hears that dog bark at them, they seem to sober up and become a lot less of a threat to anyone.

To me inteligence say why take the risk of the officer or the dog getting hurt from the stupid ignorant drunk? Just tasser the drunk and as long as it works empty the tasser on the drunk, that way when he comes to the next day he feels mighty fine and might remember and if he doesn't maybe the cop can refresh his memory..

Not saying I haven't been drunk in past, but I was never obnoxious or stupid enough to tease a dog more less a police dog..The guy leaves some to be desired in intelligence and manners..

Tasser him next time or have the officer call him and his family all kinds of insults and see if the office can provoke him (free speach right) when the guy is drunk and then have away tassr, billy club, mace a real rodney king beat down type hospital vist for him..Hey officer just used free speach and then defended himself.. Just my thinking I kow might be rash, but still entertaining in my view..And I wouldn't be disturbed with the officer, I owuld put him/her up for officer of the month award..

The point that most is missing is that these K9 dogs cost a lot of money to train AND they are "working" as they are trained to do. Just as a service dog for the blind "works".

Another point everyone is missing, is yes, we have the freedom of speach but not freedom from the consequences of that speach.

And most importantly, this guy is ignorant. Really truly ignorant. Many of us have been drunk, but to be so drunk to go to a cop car and do anything to a cop or his property is just asking for trouble.

This is not the first case of a person being charged or punished for interfering with a K9 dog. Just think, if this idiot had taunted a blind persons dog everyone would be outraged but because it is the "mean ol' cops" it is funny.

Get a grip people.

Also a point is the dog is an animal, it should not be teased as think of it this way people..Would you like it, if the police handcuffed you up/tied you up and let the dog bark and nip at you? Would you appreciate some one teasing you say some one like arnold scwartz teasing you and making fun of you?

Albert einstein said it so good when he said to the effect..I do not fear evil in this world for it shall always exist, but what I fear most is the people that see evil and do nothing..

So much ignorance and lack of empathy by people and yes I have had my moments of it for which I am ashammed of admittedly..

Actually, the k ps are indeed policemen in every sense of the word and they lay their lives on the line just the same as the humans do. http:thelimingview.blogspot.co m/

Only a mental midget equates "speech" with human barking.

Newsflash: There's a bit of a difference between noise and oratory.

Or, we could just humans to act, you know, human.

Wow, what a concept.

P.S. He WAS off-command. Otherwise, the loud mouth, chimp-on-chocolate would have had a valid reason to bark.

I'm guessing that dog is about a light-year more valuable to society than the primate with vocal chords.
