All about the money. Jim and becca don't care about our children. They do everything as cheap as possible but charge out the ass.

Wow. I just happened to stumble on this sight and searched the daycare bc my two young ones go there. I didn't know about the food, bc I thought they would have had to get it from a wholesaler or something. I do however agree that they are not charismatic for our kids and it's about the money. Jim always seems guarded and nervous when I speak with him and he definatly seems to avoid any complain or such. We pay oop with no assistance and I just expect better. Seems like since they have expanded things have gotten worse.

Factoring in insurance, building payments, employee payroll and ect they probably don't make as much as you think. On top of that dealing with some of them little 'angels' every day I'm sure is more demanding than the average gas station job. So I'm sure they can't feed the kids with 5 star food. I'm sure that's a terribly stressful job, and as parents, you should hopefully realize some kids, and their parents for that matter, the misery of dealing with them rivals a root canal.

Laugh and Learn is a very respectful Day Care. The owners are great and care about their business. I and the kids have always been treated great. If you don't like this day care , then take your kids somewhere else. Don't say they don't care about the children because they do and yes it's about money too. They are trying to earn a living just like you and me.

Abc....sounds like u are Jim....or becca who u run to with every little question. And btw, I did take my children out. Only two of my three attended there. One not old enough to speak and the other it was hard to tell what really happened, but being friends with many parents there...I have heard some not so good stories. In the beginning it was great, I agree. Very nice place with high standards, but they have got comfortable and now are careless. Not all the time, but one time is enough. Also, their turnover rate is terrible and I know a former employee and he said Jim was a bear to work for. Always on them about something.

I take my daughter to the center in Mascoutah and have never had to deal with Jim or Becca, but have had nothing but GREAT things for my daughter come from there. Yes, it's expensive, but Krystal, the manager there, is awesome. I've never had any issues at all with them. All of the teachers at the daycare have been incredibly accommodating of my daughter and anything that needs to be done with her. She's just wrapping up their pre-k program and it was great. Very educational for her.

Laugh and Learn is not a place I would send my child. I know a few former employees and none of them enjoyed their experience.
The food there is not bad, but other things about the center in Mascoutah cause some concern. The staff do not receive proper training when they start working there and then get reprimanded if they do something wrong (even if they were not shown how to do it properly in the first place.
Training that the staff has to do for the state is not actually done. Workers sign a piece of paper saying they attended training and get the hours required, but never actually did any of it.
Brown recluse spiders have been spotted by the staff in the baby room and when brought to the attention of the director, the employee was told that they did not know what they were talking about and told to ignore the problem.(Eventually the place was sprayed for bugs, but weeks after the spiders were spotted.)
Employees are not treated well there and the children are allowed to run loose because pleasing the parents (aka money givers) is more important than disciplining a child who makes it unsafe for the other kids or even the staff.
Personally after hearing this, I would not send my kid to the daycare and rather send them to a facility that was safer and had owners who cared about the kids rather than their wallet.

The director of Freeburg told my daughter they were going to call the cops on her if she didn't stop misbehaving! WTH!

Bring them to my house. I have a history with children and that rumor about me getting 4 children killed wasn't true. Trust me and bring along a life insurance policy on each child left in my care.

My husband and I took our 3 yr old son to laugh and learn in Freeburg. He was already shy. They told me it would only take a few weeks and he would be alright. My son was never "alright". He has a special blanket that he always has. They said bring it to make him feel better. We did, only to have them rip it away from him after we left. He cried horribly everyday begging not to go there. He went as far as trying to promise to do stuff so he wouldn't have to go there. I thought it was just because it was his first day care away from me. It was summer. EVERYDAY I went to pick him up around 3-5 the hottest part of the day. It was so sad. The babies were pinned in one section of the playground and they would all be crying and beat red sweating. One teacher was giving drinks and a very small child spilled his. Again this child like all the rest was very hot, very red, and wet from sweat, she told him "tough luck sit down". We pulled him out that day. Those children including babies were so sad looking my son was soaked in sweat. They shuffle all them kids outside so they don't have to watch our interact with them. My son never did any papers or work. He learned nothing but to leave the adults alone or you will get yelled at. We took him out that day. We put him into a preschool here in town. One week into his new school and he didn't even want me to go in. He loves it there. He was at laugh and learn well over 6 months and never never got use to it. It is all in the teachers and their attitudes towards our children. Them kids know!!!!!!!!!!

I deliver food from aldi. They have THE safest food of any grocery store by far let me tell you why, they refuse to let companies like Monsanto spray hazardous materials on their food to make them look bigger, and better. So before you try to clown them on what they feed kids take a look at what you're feeding them first you dumb judgmental uneducated see you next Tuesday

Then they should find a new profession.

Laugh and Learn Freeburg is absolutely perfect. Both of my children have grown up there! Jody is the best. I never see her talking on her cell phone. I personally FB messenger her from time to time to check on my children and I love that she has constant contact with me.

Aldi food is high quality. They have more organics, growth hormone free chicken and grass fed beefs than some of the "brand stores". They are either the parent company of Trader Joes or vice versa.

Mascoutah is great! Everyone is friendly, rooms are clean, and I always see proof of educational activities with my children.

I really like Mascoutah. I haven't had any concerns. Everyone is nice. The place is like new. I feel very lucky to have such a nice place to take my children. The owners and the manger is very nice.
