This was a sad story of a good woman (ask anyone who knows her) who I think just snapped under tremendous pressure. Not saying that its right, just saying shes not a bad person.

Nope... personal accountability is a thing of the past now.

I've done stupid before, and been broke before, but robbing a bank was never an option.

I am just glad that her gun did not kill anyone! I am sick and tired of all the excuses being given to these crooks!!! Even if this was my family member, I would not just say they were under pressure and that somehow gives them the right to rob and possibly murder!

PLEASE!!!

Bank robbing is not an impulsive act. One doesn't just "snap" and rob a bank. Even the most idiotic attempts require a level of planning that precludes sudden impulse. It's more indicative of a weak character and a sense of entitlement. It's likely that this "good woman" blames everyone and everything except for herself for her failures and shortcomings.

Of COURSE she had to rob a bank--her lottery ticket didn't win!

Sheesh!

None of you know this woman personally, just assuming, and you know what that does. I never said it was an excuse or that it was justified. But she was NOT just some crook. No one that knew her would have guessed in a million years that she was even capable of something like this.

But hey, he who has not sinned cast the first stone!

I don't know this lady personally, however, I must add my two cents. In this day and age it's getting to be almost daily that we hear about another bank robbery. If you've never worked in a bank, I'm here to tell you that it's not a wonderful feeling, knowing that at any point in time some nut case can walk in and either shoot, kill or take a hostage just to get a small amount of cash. I don't know what goes through a persons mind when they decide to rob a bank or credit union. All I can say is that I hope that they get punished to the fullest extent of the law. It's gotten to the point that bank employees are not allowed to have family pictures on their desks because the fear of some fruit cake following them home & taking the family hostage. This happen a year of so ago in the midwest. It was featured on America's Most Wanted a couple of weeks ago. I just hope and pray that I never have to look down at a gun in my face because some poor sap thinks that the only way to cure their financial difficulties is to rob my bank.

I agree with you and hope that you never have to experience something like this. There is not an excuse for actions such as this. I never intended to justify breaking the law and endangering others, simply that you cannot judge a book by its cover. I wanted to caution people to think before they passed judgment on this woman.

well, seeing as how neither I nor anyone else here has ever robbed a bank, that pretty much gives us free reign to drop not stones, but boulders on her.

This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Scorpio

Don't let yourself be caught up in a crowd mentality. Just because someone else makes a major production out of what should be a simple matter, doesn't necessarily mean that it has to affect you adversely. You might be able to bring down the volume with a tap on the shoulder and a meaningful look. Even though it might not seem like it, your cool head is definitely appreciated at times like this.
