does anyone have a story to tell about my late Aunt Di? Would love to remember some of the funny things she said or did :-)

My name if Cliff Williams and Diana was the first friend I knew on the face of the earth.
We lived two doors away from each other at Walnut Lake Michigan. Karen was older than me but Diana was about a year younger and we would play outside Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring. It didn't matter what the weather was like Walnut Lake Kids played outside. One day when I was about five and Diana was about 4 we told our moms that we wanted to get married. Hildred and my mom Marge Williams found a piece of lace and put it on Diana's head. They performed a ceremony and provided refreshments and pictures etc.(I have a picture of Diana and me and I am trying to find it, and if I do I will make it available.) That night my mom told me that I was disappointed to find out that Diana was not going to live at our house. I thought the we were really married.
Years later after my Mom and Bill had passed away, my dad visited Hildred, and they started a relationship. They got married in 1968 and Diana became my Stepsister. I could not have been more proud!
My wife Reva has always said that Diana had the best sense of humor of anyone she has ever known. I remember Diana as the sweetest most unselfish person I ever knew. I will always love her. My prayers go out to the entire family

I went to Kingman. I found the grave of my beloved murdered aunt. Her murderous husbands family was kind enough to get her a small space for her cremated remains. the only thing that makes me angry is that her plaque reads " Diana Young " All of us who ever knew and loved her know that she was a Maddren, for her whole life, never taking the name of Greg, and will always be a Maddren. I know it's a small thing, but to me it's a big thing.. the Young name is something she never wanted, not in life or in death.

Tammi, your comment really made me angry. The one about Greg's murderous family. Come on that is some bullshit and you know it too. We had no say in what Greg did nor would we have agreed to it. Right now I don't think anyone has much to say because just last Monday we lost his brother Gary, which is my father. Also for your information Greg's children made the choice of having him and Diana cremated and Greg's mother didn't get to have one say in it. So just stop with the blame game over on our side of the family because we don't believe in a single thing that he did that day and we did not make the choices in the final arrangements of their deaths either. If you haven't forgotten Diana's last name was young. Right now I am really not in the mood for this crap.

I guess you did not know my Aunt like I did... What a shame. She was never a Young and always a Maddren. I am sorry for your loss, but you need to take a good hard look at the facts. Greg murdered my Aunt. She had no say in her death. The choice was taken from her in every respect. I only hope the tradgedy ends here. No more people need to die in this family, at least not in this manner. I have to speak for my aunt, as she can't speak for herself anymore...
I will continue to mourn my Aunt, and will remember the many wonderful things that she did in her life.

Just stop!! I am sick to death of it. We all know Uncle Greg murdered your aunt and of course she had no say in it. Stop acting like we all think otherwise geez. I am glad I am not in person to talk to you because I can't stand it and no matter what you say you are still playing the blame game on the rest of his family and it's ridiculous. You can keep on mourning your aunt without throwing it up in everyone's face all the time. I hate to say it Tammi but grow up and realize who is the one who killed your aunt. I am sure she would not want you blaming the rest of the family either. I know for a fact she wouldn't, so stop it.

I am not playing the blame game... I am not trying to blame the rest of the family, not in the slightest. Gregs family had no choice in the matter, just like Diana didn't. Choices were made on that Valentines Day that none of us took part in. I, like you, wish things could have turned out differently. I only wish to remember the good things about my Aunt, and the many wonderful things that she did in her life time. Diana loved Greg's Family just like she loved my family. It's all just so tragic and so final. So many lives were changed that day, not just Diana's.

Those who knew Greg know that he ALWAYS was trying to get something for nothing. It's hard to tell what happened in those final days. I know My Aunt was getting ready to leave him, and I think he was on to it...My mother says that her sister was VERY different the last time she spoke to her.... IT makes no sense, but then again, when does domestic violence?

Anyone following this knows that on the 14th of February it will be 2 years since Diana left and went to be with Jesus. I can't help but miss her and wonder how many time she would have made us laugh and smile. I only try and remember the positives and keep her memory alive.

We are still searching for answers in Arizona and I know SOMEDAY the truth will come out...

Until then, I will keep wondering...And waiting
