The area where there are remains will be covered and protected. The state investigated the rest of the site and found it clear of remains. The construction will be allowed in the areas found to be clear of remains.

Oh yeah, they investigated this whole area 40 years ago and then the state let Grandpa's store put in a huge parking lot where they knocked down a Mound. No one believes the state is preserving history, its bureaucrats are doing what they've always done, lining thier pockets with kickbacks.

Your right, They have been doing this for a long time. When Bruce Street was still there (interstate now)we found many arrowheads, parts of pottery, etc.
I know there were mounds across from the old Grandpa's store all the way down to Fairmont.
One of the mound that is behind Munks mound is falling apart onto the interstate. But try to stop you will get a ticket.
It's a shame. A real shame.
SAVE our MOUNDS.

Yeah, that sounds bad, but the truth is that this entire area is built on top of what was at one time the largest population center of the largest society on the continent. It is no different from any other city, like London or Rome where the city continues to build on top of the ancient cities. You leave the dead where thier folks put them and build over them if you have to. What would be your plan? Have us all pack up and move out?
