Reports from city officials, nursing home residents and family members indicate that staff at Covenant Care in O'Fallon remain on duty and that residents are being cared for as their numbers dwindle.
Management at Covenant Care has not returned phone calls but has told city officials that all residents are being moved out and that the facility will be closed by the end of the week. Mayor Gary Graham said nursing home manager Mike Butler was talking to Police Chief John Betten, who was monitoring the situation. About 20 of 65 residents remained Monday afternoon. Read more

O'fallen's Covenant Care also owned Modern Care in Jacksonville Il. and left us in the cold. Closed the facility, no remorse, not even final Month of pay to the loyal workers who stayed and covered the corporations butt. They didnt pay the workers, nor the residents back pay for kicking them out before the month was up, let alone the 90 days the residents were supposed to have. What a shameful bunch of owners.

Modern Care and O'fallen's loyal workers still sit and wait for their month of pay, our residents are dieing one by on. Modren Care still sits empty. Their was ppl willing to by both nursing home but the owners refused to sell because they wanted more money. So now all the workers are without jobs and without their back pay. Most of all our resident had to leave their home.
