Some people can't tell the difference between merging into traffic and "cutting lanes". There is a difference.

Failure to yield to merging traffic is a crime and is dangerous.

Too many times on this very stretch of road where multiple lanes merge into two lanes of traffic on the US2 trestle, people will nestle into my blind spot and refuse to let me merge into their lane.

It might help if they were more aware that if I merged and they dented my rear quarter panel, the accident would automatically be their fault for failing to yield.
