Will Marvin simply "steal" by decree the land they want for the greenway?
They already stole hundreds of acres from landowners throughout marvin with their "viewshed" regulations which says you cant build on any land within 285 feet of a road.(the zoning used to be 80 feet)
Never mind that everyone on the council who voted for this land theft lived in houses that were closer than 285 feet from a road.
Hypocrisy. Oh, and by the way, the whole point of the marvin development moratorium and rezoning was originally to preserve open space and small farms. To keep the "rural look and feel"
Wanna know how many farms are left in marvin, 2 years after all this zoning went into effect? ZERO. THEY ARE ALL GONE.
Good job, marvin council! Congrats! Because of your professed desire to stop development, you scared all the farmers away because you said you were going to steal their land. You basically said "you can't ever sell your land to developers and retire, we would rather you keep farming until they day you die so we can see the pretty barns and cows when we drive by to our subdivision houses."
I hope you guys enjoy having subdivisions on every corner now, where farms used to be. Your zoning attempts were a complete joke and you should be ashamed for wasting everyone's time and money.
