You are the hardest working Catholic scholar and theologian I have ever seen bar none. What would the Catechism Of The Catholic Church be without your hard work?<quoted text>

In the mail today I was asked to give to a charity called Boys Town. I saw it was a Catholic charity and thought before I gave that I should check it out. I goggled for scandals and there are plenty of them. Sad, I am sorry but have to pass on this one for a couple of reasons. First I want the money to go to the kids. I know the church has spent billions of dollars on these scandals. I don't want any of my money to go to pay their bills and I cannot be assured of that. Another reason is the Catholic Church has abundant wealth and can surely afford to feed these kids better than I. After all that is what they are supposed to be doing anyway. If the church is short of cash which they are not then I suggest the Pope hock some of the gold blink he always wears and feed/house the kids.

It's difficult to expose 1600 years of revisionist history into a post or page with 3000 characters. Much of what you've posted is right, and I love the gravity premise;-)
The foundation of the teachings of Jesus Christ being the focal point of what the Scriptures say according to the Author is what we need to note. And in line with this is that the accounts made by His original disciples should hold the primary accounts to which the others are held to. One example is Luke has Jesus saying we cannot be His disciples unless we hate relatives and such, but the Matthew account is that we cannot love others - even family members - more than Him if we are His disciples. Do we approach the word of God with focus on our love for Him or our hatred of others? This is but one example that shows the need to learn of Him from the original disciples He said would be enabled by the Holy Spirit to have total recall of all that He first taught them.
Have you read "Jesus' Words Only"? There are some ancient resources that say the first century Church only accepted books as Scripture that were written by the twelve - and they rejected Paul's writings as Scripture or authoritative.
We may be better off to quote Jesus when He taught about the need to believe what God has said and repent of man made doctrine.
