He told you, Bobby and me the same thing.

Did He also say to keep His commandments if we love Him, as He exampled keeping the commandments of God out of love for Him?

Break even one, and you have broken all of them.
Where do you go to perform animal sacrifices today? Better not let the law or the local news find out.
Rather than worrying a circular false argument, why not consider the sacrifice God said He truly desires of men?

If Jesus gave 613 commandments, would you want to keep them from your heart because you love Him and this is what He said you should do?

You talk about the OT as though God had no grace then, as though the God of the OT was an evil ogre and the God of the NT replaced Him?

No, it is one and the same God, and He doesn't go back on His word of truth.

James 2:10
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
It may be time for you to chunk James out of the Bible now too.
James spoke the truth. James spoke according to the Word of God.
I John 1:9.

If we confess where we fall, God is faithful to forgive, but we need to let Him help us get back on our feet to walk in His ways as blamelessly as we can. The mercies of the LORD are new every morning, and have been for thousands of years towards those who love Him and desire to do His will.

There is no "circular argument". These people were Jews who believed in Jesus yet were keeping the law of Moses "just to be sure".

The Torah contains 613 laws and commandments. That's just how it is. And not a single one of them or anyone else outside of Jesus Christ managed to keep the law, so you might as well forget about trying to keep it or any other law that you dream up.

Those who are His abide in Him and His word. If we abide in the Vine and bring forth the fruits He commanded - that is the proof of the Vine and the branches and the fruits of God. I choose to abide in the vine, not a Church whose fruits have not shown themselves to be in the Vine that produces the fruits of truth and godliness.

Yes, and James wrote to Jews and was a Jew? And pray tell, do you know the Jewish perspective of the kingdom of God? The re unification of the lost ten tribes with the faithful two tribes in the land of Israel promised to Abraham that is greatly larger than what it is today? And that the "ten" will return and are mixed with all the nations?

see: "JEWISH SECRETS HIDDEN IN THE NEW TESTAMENT"

It's written by Jewish Rabbi's, not a Gentile, and they include the Gentiles....?

Why don't you abide in the door. He said he was a door too.

So he lied when he said his Church will be protected until the end of ages. You are a "Some of Jesus Words Only".

What a crock you have come up with.

Amazing ignorance and blinders.
Of course you have the fullness of the Truth and teach no errors. Been around for 200 years and 1/2 of your members are in Tenn and Texas. Where was Jesus for your 'Church' for 1800 years?
The government only recognized your community in 1900., That was the first time you could check COC on the census.
How can you stand there and lie about your history and accept money for doing that?
You 2 fools really want to make everybody come to chuch. Learn 2 Greek total stupid words and you become world authorities. Johnny Robertson know that Bible back and forth. He calls us to enter in by the door, and that He is the door. No one enters into the Set-Apart assembly except through Him. No climbing in over the wall allowed.

He said "the gates of hell" would not prevail against it. That's death. The fact of Romes usurping authority of Rome upon other believers to submit to the Pope and not God is ample proof for me. The fact that the Roman Church added Paul's books is proof enough for me. The fact that the Roman Church kept the actual words of God from their people is proof enough for me. The fact that Rome caused those who dared translate the Scripture so people could actually hear the words of God in their own language to be burned and killed for the crime of letting the people hear Gods' word is proof enough for me. The fact of the Roman Church hiding and abetting abuse of children by their priests is proof enough for me.

You can chant Eucharist all day long, but I can't hear you because of the works of the Roman Church - their fruits, if you will.

Jesus said we can know them by their fruits.

The same applies to you. You only believe part of the written word of God. First you believe something and then you find a verse you claim backs you up.

The Bible is either/or to you. Not THAT/AND. Because a verse says you are saved by faith , you ignore all other verses that say you are also saved by baptism and by participating in the Eucharist.

If you were forced to just use one word to say what saves you, what would it be?

HINT- it's not a "what" it is a who...

Who is able to forgive sin? who were we created for? who loves us most? who gives life and love?

It's the same one word that answers your question... isn't it?

Love is a verb that includes keeping the commandments of God -
according to Jesus.

Why try to take away from what God has decreed true?

And if you teach differently of who Jesus says will be found faithful and have the right to enter the City of God - since He said certain things are required, and you teach against that - is that to invite the curses in the book upon yourself?

Just something to consider....

I pointed out just a handful of reasons I cannot be Roman Catholic, and you say I'm in the "Some of Jesus Words Only" sect?

You'll just have to correct me by His word - what are the rest of the "Jesus' Words" that you believe nullify or offset any of the points noted?

Do be specific - not just off-gassing.

We should use all of the bible instead of tossing out 2/3 of the new testament. The fulfillment of the law was after the death of Christ not while he was still alive. What he spoke then was while the law was still in charge.

12However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, "HE WHO PRACTICES THEM SHALL LIVE BY THEM." 13Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us-- for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE "-- 14in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Question "was Jesus cursed"? Did God turn his back on his own Son?
