God doesn't care if you play golf on Sunday or not. Or any other day of the week. That won't be on the Final Exam.

Never met a 'Christian' whose was avid golfer, fisherman, camper, or hunter on the weekend who didn't think that. Typical of the 'me and you' Jesus anti-religion crowd. Matching up who Jesus is to fit you.

There is someone on here who constantly says that others will not admit that they are infallible which is true, we are not.

That same someone never admits that he is wrong about anything. Hint-he is a catholic and he gets his information from a book. Can you imagine that-he worships a book-it is called cccc. Typical- "me and you pope" Matching up who the pope is to fit himself. He is a true worshiping parrot he says what ever his book says-the ccc..

You have my permission to print that in your book...

I am glad you are beginning to understand. i am only right because the Church is right. When you hear the Church you hear Jesus. Doesn't our book you read say that.

Not only do i get to hear Jesus, I eat his body and drink his blood. Because of that he abides in me and I am him. Jesus says unless you do that , you have no life in you.

Pretty personal relationship I have don't I?

Yes, Mike and the pope= infallible. Mike abides in the pope and the pope is in him. He gets tat from the book he worships-the book of catholic tradition. He hates us because we use the scripture and he hates it.

To Mike "Christ in us is our hope of glory" is a lie straight from satan himself because it is no where to be found in the cook of ccc. As bad of theology as Heath and Johnny have they look like angels compared to Mike.

Mike, where is all those converts that you came here to change into catholics? They have all left you and I plan to do the same... The pope is trying to warm up to the muslims- maybe you have better luck converting them...

Religion has no power to save.

“The difference between Christianity and every other faith in the world is that all other religions are about man trying to reach up to God. Christianity is about God reaching down to man.”

Religion is a system of beliefs or a code of moral conduct that judges (qualifies or disqualifies) a person based on their adherence and obedience to certain codes, rules, laws, traditions, or the performance of required acts.

Religion (almost universally) is enforced by those in power in an attempt to maintain, increase, or abuse their power over others.

Mike what you have is religion-fits you perfectly.

Mike you figured dead wrong. I will say this though not every bible church is a clone of the others. If you will be honest not every catholic is a clone of the others. I know catholics who pass by a catholic church to go to another one. That is not necessarily bad.

I am a member of Jesus church-we call ourselves "bible church" because we seek to use the bible as our foundation. Below is a statement of faith from the Dallas theological seminary. Many bible church pastors/preachers were schooled there.

http://www.dts.edu/about/doctrinalstatement/

We understand that sin is the reason for the fall in the garden and that just because you are a christian does not mean that we no longer sin. No christian can say that with an honest face. The grace of God is the theme we live by- not by works, so that no one can boast.

If you lived in this area you would know that we do a lot of good works-that is what we are all about. Just this morning our church gave 75 thousand to area pregnancy centers to help save the unborn.

All people need the love of Christ and we seek to bring that love to others. I admit that the catholics do good works also, but their motive is often very different. We do good works because we are saved. Many including catholics do good works in order to get saved and stay saved. It is all about motive. Eph 2:10

10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Before that Paul said "8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast."

Correct order is everything.

Bobby; Mike you figured dead wrong. I will say this though not every bible church is a clone of the others.

Then why do you quote from an emergent church website about religion?

Bobby; I am a member of Jesus church-we call ourselves "bible church" because we seek to use the bible as our foundation.

Do you realize that every protester Church in world claims to use the bible as their foundation. That is a problem. The Bible didnt exist for 350 years after Jesus died.

Bobby; http://www.dts.edu/about/doctrinalstatement/

This proves your protester community does not use the Bible as its base. It doesn't believe in baptism and it says Jesus left a book in charge. A book has Authority. A Catholic book has authority at your church. Very bizarre.,

But you only have to believe 7 things that your community believes. Why do you have to believe those 7 and not he rest. Did Jesus let his Apostles pick and choose.

Bobby; you lived in this area you would know that we do a lot of good works-that is what we are all about. Just this morning our church gave 75 thousand to area pregnancy centers to help save the unborn.

Thanks . The Church needs all the help it can get on this one. It leads the world in fighting this.

Before that Paul said "8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast."

James 2:24 is remarkably clear: "You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone."

Your community is partially Bible based.

You belong to an emergent church. If it looks like one and teaches like one, it is one.

I can feel free to quote from the catholic church or any church where I can agree with them even an emergent church. I do agree with them that there should be more acceptance of other Christians because in this world the enemies of Christ sees no difference in any of us. I think it is terrible that catholics deny that there are any Christians anywhere in the world that are not catholic. It is guys like you that continue to create that deep divide. Have you noticed that I never capitalize the word catholic? I do that because I despise their spiritual pride! That is in the bible if you care to look it up.

As far as the water baptism issue goes, we had a baptism this morning-a little girl. We water baptize more people in our church than most do. I sat at the table this morning with 3 ex- catholics-I love them.

Protesters have created the great divide in the 1500s. Learn some history.

It is because of protesters the world does not see us as one. Your movement has divided up the body of Christ. Have ignored the prayer of Jesus that should not happen.

What you gave as your website as your 7 things you must believe is you are saved by faith alone. Baptism does not save you. Why bother baptizes if it doesnt do anything.

Are you right, and the other 40,000 non Catholic communities wrong?

Mike,

There comes a time when division is necessary. Would you continue to follow Jim Jones to the very end? We cannot be seen as one because the cartholic church has gone the off the farm.

Water baptism is a command, we do it for obedience sake. God tells us to be busy doing good works. However, no obedience that we do can cause God to save us unless our hearts have first been changed. Obedience which comes from the heart is not the same. A traitor can do all the things that he sees others do but when his true colors are shown he is just a traitor.

Will you sale "all" your processions and give them to the poor as the law states? I thought not . But if our salvation depends on our obedience then no one can be saved because none of us is as good as Jesus-his works of keeping the law perfectly is what saves us-but only to those who have faith in Him. We are mere humans in need of a savior because we have all gone off the farm- went astray. No amount of our good works will please God. However when God sees our genuine faith he sees the blood over the door post of our lives and the death angel passes over us.

What caused Noah to build the Ark-it was faith. Was it water which saved him or was it the fact that he was in the ark which God designed to withstand the raging sea?

Abraham's father was an Idol worshiper and by extension so was Abraham. It was Abraham's faith that God recognized.

Genuine faith is necessary. Do you believe in the Promise given to Eve in the garden-that her offspring would crush he head of satan?

Like it or not salvation has always been based on faith not works. Jesus works are the only works that please God because he did not need to be saved-he always lived a perfect life without sin. Only a sinless spotless lamb could be offered as a pleasing sacrifice to God. So, if you or I had been sacrificed for the sins of the world, God would have turned his back on us. He does not accept our works- he accepts our faith! Good works will follow us if we have genuine faith.

James is emphasizing the point that genuine faith in Christ will produce a changed life and good works (James 2:20-26). James is not saying that justification is by faith plus works, but rather that a person who is truly justified by faith will have good works in his/her life.

Bansweb has come to hate the Apostle Paul because he teaches salvation by faith- How do you manage to keep pauls writing in the bible when you and the catholic church reject 2/3 of the new testament by denying Pauls words???

Heath, have you noticed that you agree more with Mike than you do with me, Why?

Both of you believe in baptismal regeneration and as an extension both of you have a works for salvation doctrine. Both of you know that you still sin and both of you try to overcome your sin with good works, the only thing that is different between you is your list of good works.

Did you know that a mule is a hybrid between a donkey and a horse?

Mike Are you right and the scripture is wrong? If a church claims to be the only true church it should follow the scripture...

Do you know what this reminds me of? Israel wanted a king to rule over their nation like all the other nations. so they chose Saul. When, in fact God wanted to be their king. We know how that turned out...

Ive noticed people rename things they either dont want to obey for the reason stated or call things different to excuse sin. Both are wrong. Baptism as spoken by the HS was and is for remission of sins when obeyed properly.
