Spamtastic posts there catholic cavalry. Especially that last one. Heretical and wrong.

Guess the OT don't count as scripture?

And the authors say no such thing. We've only discussed that a thousand times before.

Just what is your purpose here anyway? Only Mark in your amen corner agrees. The rest of us ain't converting anytime soon. You've told us your beliefs; if we don't believe them and are wrong, it's on our heads. We all know your two verses:

You are Peter.
Pillar and foundation of the truth.

Got anything else, or is that pretty much it? If nothing else, time to move on.

Once again like all Protestants, especially fundamentalists, you are your own Pope.

"Nope that's not what the Bible says. I am right. You are wrong."

It is not for me to interpret the word of God. It is what Jesus taught the Apostles. It was explained 2000 years ago. There is noting new to explain. Billions of Christians have read the Bible.
But wait Dave, Bobby, William and Randy know the truth. Their own truth because they all believe something different

Most of your explanation is just made up stuff from Dave. Most Other Protestants would agree with me. Then what they believe is made up to fit what they want to believe.

I post on forums to try and explain what the Church teaches not what I teach. I try and dispel the ignorant teaching pastors , parents and peers teach what the Church believes.

You can put your heads in the sand and pretend the demise of your belief system is not a few generations of going away.

You are certainly provided jobs for preachers. On my way to Mass, I pass by at least 5 small Churchs with anyway from 5 -10 cars in front each with a different name , all with Baptist in them,

Why are they there. I believe 2 reasons. They got mad at their last Church and started their own or they just wanted to a preacher and started there own. Truth doesn't matter. Truth is all relative for prots.

Hopefully people stumble upon this forums and they compare the posts. Hopefully I can plant a seed. Usually a seed planted in the protestant's heart will take a few years.

They have to worry about family issues, what friends will say about them, financial issues if they are pastors.

It takes courage to hand yourself fully over to God. Heart and mind. To be a sheep and not the Shepherd.

You probably have in your heart. But your mind just doesn't want to give up the control you have. You still want to be your own Pope.

Hopefully, there are other readers searching for the truth and they can compare. Do I believe Popes Dave, William, Bobby, Randy, JC, each teaching whatever they decide or the Church that Jesus started which has disputable historical proof it was the one Jesus started.

The Bible is the inerrant and inspired word Written word of God. It is not the complete word of God.
The authors even you tell you that.
You cannot have a Bible without the Church.

There is a small town in North Carolina where a Baptist church split over some issue. Now there is the Bethel A Baptist and just down the road is the Bethel B Baptist! By now there could be a C, D, E etc.

We have what is known as a personal faith in a personal God, with Jesus as our only mediator, catholics cannot have that- unless they keep it secret from the catholic hierarchy.

Where is this "personal faith in a personal God" found in the Bible? Sounds like a made up man made tradition to me...rather like the "personal Savior" line popular among Baptists.

And there are many catholics who vote democrat because they have liberal views which does not agree with catholic teaching. I know catholics who church shop because they disagree with the one down the street. They just can't be vocal about it. Do catholics have the right to choose who they can marry? no but it happens anyway. You guys believe that once a catholic always a catholic but deny once saved always saved. The pope teaches that even atheist can be saved, do you believe that? you have to because the pope has decreed it. It's totalitarianism.

Jesus came to save people without any prejudice. Any and all who will accept him as their savior can be saved without the consent or approval of someone else. It is like a marriage relationship, he chose to die for us, we chose to believe in him and give him our lives-two way street.

Attending church, performing rituals, and/or not committing certain sins, that is not Christianity. Accepting Jesus as our personal Savior means placing our own personal faith and trust in Him. No one is saved by the faith of others or the baptism of others. God/Jesus has proved he loves me, now I can choose to love him. Our relationship grows just like my marriage relationship with my wife.

You have told an intentional lie on your sentence about the Pope. He know he did not say that. He said Jesus died for Atheists too. It is up to them to accept it.

As I said before what the the Church teaches and what some Catholic accept can be too different things.

Protestants accept what they want to teach. It is cirular.

But I think an Atheist can be saved, don't you.

You just made all this up but more likely you are just parroting some low end uneducated CofC preacher. Show me where the word "personal" in your context is found in the Bible. You can't. And if you think you aren't "performing rituals" at church you are quite naive.

Looks more like a low end CofC website to me. I checked out some of the church locations. Of the two closest to me one looked like an old garage and the other an abandoned roadside store.

Mike- Once again like all Protestants, especially fundamentalists, you are your own Pope.

Dave- Is that where all this really leads to? "MY pope is better than YOUR pope". Schoolyard stuff.

Mike- It is not for me to interpret the word of God.

Dave- Jesus, the apostles expected people to interpret and understand the scriptures. It's not for YOU to interpret because some priest somewhere already put his "interpretation" on it- and it does not match up with the Bible. That's a huge problem!

Mike- Most of your explanation is just made up stuff from Dave.

Dave- Not so Mike. You have been confronted with numerous scriptures from several sources. Your 2 scriptures are- "You are Peter" and "pillar and foundation". Do you consider the OT as scripture? It was written a long time before your group came along.

Mike- Most Other Protestants would agree with me.

Dave- Then why aren't they catholic still?

Mike- I post on forums to try and explain what the Church teaches not what I teach. I try and dispel the ignorant teaching pastors , parents and peers teach what the Church believes.

Dave- Ok. You've done your job. We know more about what RCC teaches. We all reject it even more because it's views have been made clearer to us.

Mike- Hopefully people stumble upon this forums and they compare the posts.

Dave- If people come upon these posts, hopefully they compare what is said with the Bible. If they do that Mike- catholicism LOSES. History, time, power, tradition- RCC wins. Bible truth- RCC loses. Simple story actually.

And which is more important? The RCC upholds ITS truth, not Jesus's truth.

Mike- You can put your heads in the sand and pretend the demise of your belief system is not a few generations of going away.

Dave- I saved this for last. It tells me that you are following a shepherd, just not the good Shepherd. Mike, if you ever read the Master and followed Him, you would know His answer to the above idea.

"But when the Son of Man comes, will He truly find faith on the earth"? Luke 18:8.

War is coming and we all can see it. Your group has stood for at least 1700 years. In the end, Mystery Babylon falls as well.

Actually Bobby, your first sentence in the second paragraph describes catholicism, judaism, and some others as well.

The rest of the post describes Christianity. Some prefer the plantation.

Looks more like a low end CofC website to me. I checked out some of the church locations. Of the two closest to me one looked like an old garage and the other an abandoned roadside store.

Jesus- "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed and downtrodden; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord".

Pharisees- "Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?" "Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!"

Mark, which do you sound like on here?

Since this thread is about the "primacy" of Peter, and the cavalry scream Matthew 16:18 to the hills, have we forgotten this fact?

John 1:42- And he (Andrew) brought him (Simon) to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him He said, "You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas". Or Peter. Way before the great confession.
