Jesus dealt with sin, shedding His Blood to forgive all mankind. Jesus purchased sinners with His Blood on the cross. This does occur over-and-over each time a person is baptized. There is no teaching that sinners ‘contact’ the Blood of Jesus in baptism. Our response is to have faith in His already shed Blood that was for remission of sins (Romans 3:25). The false teachers in 2 Peter 2:1 are clearly unsaved and have brought upon themselves swift destruction because of their blaspheming the truth and denying the Lord, yet they are said to be denying the "Lord who bought them." The verse indicates that Jesus forgave their sins upon the cross even though they are not saved – they were forgiven sinners but lacking eternal Life.

This concept escapes the coc due to their doctrine of baptismal effectual forgiveness. The coc will say that these false teachers were once saved – not true. These were wells ‘without’ water! These were men who turned from the truth they had heard. These were not saved men but sinners whom the Lord had bought with his blood on the cross and they were denying the very forgiveness of God.

This scares me for the coc because they deny the very work of our Lord who bought them and have created a doctrine of baptismal effectual forgiveness. In essence, the coc are preaching ‘another gospel.’ They deny the fact that Jesus blood shed for remission of sins and they teach/believe that in baptism they become forgiven by contacting the blood of Jesus. This is a damnable doctrine that is leading souls to swift destruction because of their blaspheming the truth and denying the "Lord who bought them."

The Lord bought sinners with his blood on the cross NOT in water baptism! This concept escapes the minds of those who believe they contact the blood through baptism when the bible says “Whom God set forth to be a propitiation, BY FAITH, IN HIS BLOOD, to show his righteousness because of the passing over of the sins done aforetime, in the forbearance of God”(Romans 3:25). Jesus is the propitiation! His blood is the means by which our sins were forgiven while we were yet sinners. Forgiveness is a done deal. IT IS FINSIHED!! Thus we can now come to God through Jesus for Eternal Life (John 3:16).

This is similar to the flood. The flood water did not save Noah, the ark did. I am sure Noah did not give thanks for the flood but rather gave thanks for his redemption from the flood with his eyes/mind/heart focused toward God.

With something in view. The jews knew already that Jesus fulfilled Matt 26:28 - they understood they were forgiven sinners. This is why they ask what to do. Peter didn't tell them "hold up now, you were forgiven by Jesus' blood BUUUTT to come in contact with his shed blood you will do so when you are baptized. Not what Peter said at all.

Nope didnt understand they were forgiven for they ask after the sermon telling them whom they had rejected. WHAT SHALL WE DO? Does that mean the understood what they had done? yes Did that mean they knew they were saved? NO. If They understood no need for the sermon that day.

I already addressed this. Forgiveness and Eternal Life are NOT one and the same. You are forgiven FIRST which took place at the cross NOT in water. Take off your coc lenses for one second and maybe you will see this is about Jesus Christ shedding his Blood which reconciled sinners to God WHILE YET BEING SINNERS!!!!!! Forgiveness of sin was done with on the cross thus mankind was reconciled to God while a sinner. Can’t you even see this? Has the coc bewitched you so badly that the obvious goes right over your head.

With the old priestly system, did the priest dip the person in the blood of the sacrifice? No. Jesus is the true sacrifice for sin, but there are conditions to access forgiveness - just as He said there were - repentance. And repentance is not to just feel remorse for sin, but to also, and primarily, return to do what God said in the first place! Jesus calls us to be hearers and doers of whatever He taught - primarily the opening sermon, then adding to that, to abide in whatever He taught and commanded those first disciples of the 'instructions in righteousness' that YHWH had given Him to give to us.

Look at the great commission again. Did Jesus say to make of Him, immerse them, and teach them to observe all He had first commanded them?
Dig down till you get to the bedrock of the truth He taught - don't be mired in the dirt of false man-made doctrines.

God does not save unrepentant sinners who reject His words that lead to eternal life. If someone has told you differently, I suggest you get the truth from Jesus - it's all there in your Bible to read and know.

As He said,'Behold, I have told you beforehand.'

Hello oh wonderful teacher, JustChristian. I'm still waiting to be schooled on the subject of reconciliation. Keep binging and googling, maybe that will help you some. Try Waynes son, he wrote on this in the past :-)

Is this you Randy? Because you have spent so much time debating with yourself, I have not responded to your messages lately. However there are many of your recent messages that makes a lot of sense. The problem I have is that I don't like to discuss things with people who say and teach things they themselves do not believe. At least with people like justchristian we know who he is and where he is coming from-he is genuine-even though he may at times be genuinely wrong. I wish you would come out of the closet and reveal your honest and true beliefs. I know none of us has all of our ducks in a row and we can change our minds as we begin to see and understand things better, but it would be nice to know the real Randy. Who wants to discuss things with a spy. It reminds me of what Paul said in Galatians.

Gal 2:4Even that question came up only because of some so-called Christians there--false ones, really--who were secretly brought in. They sneaked in to spy on us and take away the freedom we have in Christ Jesus. They wanted to enslave us and force us to follow their Jewish regulations.

I guess this fits bsweb, I mean barnsweb better.

Hey but couldn’t you use your phone to log in on Topix then fly under the radar. Changing proxy’s and IP addresses isn’t that hard. Come clean my friend tell Bobby you are me lmbo and that you are whoever SW is and Barnsweb and whoever Dave is. Tell you what. You could just read my threads and try proving me wrong. That would be fun then cause Bobby would think you are talking to yourself again lmbo.
