This cottage doesn't even exist, or in any case, no one I've spoken to in Martinsville, Va has even heard of the Fishel Cottage in the historic district of uptown Martinsville. If it existed it would be located in between, and right beside a Papa John's Pizza and a Burger King, however no one in either of these businesses has ever seen or heard of Fishel Cottage.

This is one of our guesthouses in the historic district that we rent out. It really does exist, and is within sight of the Virginia Museum of Natural History. You cannot see Papa Johns Pizza or Burger King from the Fishel Cottage. Sorry, Michael, but your detective work is faulty. Any Google search would bring you to our website.

My grandmother Barbara Peters used to live in the cottage quite a while back. It is a very nice place and is very cozy. I always loved the inlay in the ch8imney.

I always wanted to live in the cottage as a kid. That was my favorite house. I'm glad I found the website. I may rent it myself one weekend and take my mom there.

You're right Lynn, Michael doesn't know what he's talking about. He must have spoken to teenagers working there that wouldn't know.

Michael Heizer; This cabin certainly does exist. It is on Church Street just past the intersection with Oakdale and Church. As you round the curve headed toward Patrick Henry Mall, it sits behind the present day location of 'We Care', a place for the down and out to congregate.
