You know - I checked into this. Do you know what New Age Religion is? A melting pot of religious rejects. Part Christian, part Native American, part Buddhist - parts all mixed up a baked in a pie.
I was agreeable with some of the ideas I read, but they were inconsistent. As soon as I recognized something I thought was logical and got excited that I found the right track - turns out some of their ideas are a ridiculous as those that I have already rejected. The blogs I read were mostly critical, so I don't think New-Agers even like their religion.
Can you suggest any readings about the New Age movement that are legitimate? The ideas were interesting to me but I couldn't tell which were "new" and which were old and borrowed from other religions.
New Age Movement is all illegitimate and man made.

Well, of course - my religious beliefs are (wo)man-made by ME. They're the conclusions I have drawn from life that I have observed and analyzed with my own brain. My religious beliefs are unique to me and so I don't know what to call myself.

How can my ideas be original if other people have already written and taught them? Well - that's how I know they are true. They didn't teach them to ME. I allow myself to constantly be open to suggestion. I listen to opinions - anyone's opinion - and I test it with logic. And by opinion I mean: every single thing anyone tells me or communicates to me - in books, online, TV - every "fact" is subject to be false and so, there are no real facts. Can I believe what I see? No, not even that - what I "see" may be an illusion or trick of light - my own opinions are nothing more than a combination of all my influences.

"What if I was wrong and no one cared to mention
What if it was true and all we thought was right was wrong?
Simple math, the truth cannot be fractioned" (Manchester Orchestra)

I do not know what the "truth" is, but there MUST be a "truth" and it exists whether or not I know what it is. I accept that I do not know - but there is not a one of you here who does not claim to know the "truth" and I'm telling you: you don't know either.

Are you SURE I'm not an Atheist?

Whether you believe this or not. GOD is real! God loves you, God love me. My advice to you is "Trust in God",(study the Bible) and eventually your mind will become clear, ask God to help you with this. I could help you with those questions, but with out you trusting in God it would be to no avail. Please Study Gods word, Study, study and study. God Loves you. God created you for a reason! Someone that Love you

In reality, the new age movement has always been around. The bible call it occult. The bible also tell us not to play with the occult for it is very dangerous. Why, cause has sinners, we do not understand it or how to read it. But again, the bibles does not say it not real. It is very real, that is why we are told not to learn or practice it. What most folks don't see in the occult, is the Star of Bethehlem. Has Christians we all know the story of this, but again the Star was not place by the father to point out were the anointed one is, but by the liar to cut off the anointed one. The 3 "wise men" were in truth, occult readers. They saw the star and went to where jesus was. They stop and inform Heriod what was going on. We all know that Heriod went out and kill newborns in the surrounding areas. With this, an "angel" came and warn Joseph and Mary to get out and go to Egypt. over time jesus came out of Egypt, has the greatest prophet Moses did.
