Too bad for anyone trapped in all this ice and snow, wanting to go to Heaven. Anyone think Johnny Robertson and James Oldfield would risk their lives going out on the roads tonight to baptize anybody? Looks like anyone wanting to "obey the gospel" in middle of a blizzard is out of luck and damned to Hell.

It's very good that salvation is by faith only. It doesn't need "gospel preachers" to happen.

I'm not a fan of the Texas style coc by any means, but even a quick reading of the Bible, especially Romans 10, shows the error of your argument here.

Low end protestants believe that they are saved by making one single act of faith at one single point in time in their lives. Nowhere does Scripture say such a thing. As Catholics, however, we believe that salvation is a process which begins with our Baptism and continues throughout our lifetimes, just as the Bible teaches us.

There are so many places in Scripture, which talk about how one is "saved", but not one of them says we are saved by one act of faith at just one point in time. As I just mentioned, 1 Ptr 3:20 says we are saved by baptism. In Hebrews 12:14 it says that we will not see the Lord unless we are holy, and that we have to strive for this holiness. In Matthew 6:14-15, it says we must forgive others or we will not be forgiven. Can you attain salvation if God hasn't forgiven you? No! So, our forgiving others is necessary for our salvation.

1 Tim 2:15 says that woman will be saved through bearing children, if she continues in faith and love and holiness with modesty. John 6:54 says we will have eternal life by doing something...eating the flesh and drinking the blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In Matthew 19, verses 16 and 17, Jesus is asked directly what one must do to have eternal life. Did He say, accept me into your heart once and that's it? No! Jesus said to keep the commandments and you will have life.

This gets annoying. Why did Mike's post get wrong, clueless, and spam, even when he is correct? Truth is truth no matter who or what group says it.

In catholic eyes I may simply be a low end prot, but Mike's post here is scriptural.

As the local pest says, focus.

The Church of Christ preachers would not come through a severe blizzard to baptize anyone who wanted to be baptized. If someone listening to his show in eastern NC wanted to be baptized this week Johnny wouldn't drive all that way through snow and ice to baptize him. That person could die unbaptized because Johnny was too scared for his own skin.

The Texas style of Church of Christ is so full of inconsistency and holes and illogic that its completely useless as a church.

Since you are not a member of Jesus' Church you don't know about the Baptism of Desire. God won't send somebody to hell because of snowstorm. That is ignorant thinking.

My friends do not realize that Micah and I were out in it till 6pm. We decided to not go with live show we worked on cause the staff at tv station would be in danger. My phone was on and we would be happy to go out. The snow was nothing compared to shark infested islands lagoon in which many souls obeyed Jesus in the marshalls. Jesus hanged on a cross for us an a tiny discomfort of being baptized is nothing for those who love his word. Thank you

Oh please.

Your driveway would have 2 feet of snow and ice and without a flamethrower you'd never thaw your way out to baptize anybody. Spare us your righteousness.

What are you doing baptizing anyone in shark infested water? But you show video of you doing baptisms in roadside ditches and raw sewage. Guess you never heard of clean swimming pools. Good thing for public health you baptize so few.

Go ahead and show JR up. tell us of your evangelism and the times you have been toiling and in danger.
