Barnsweb, if you don't join Johnny on his rants, then I probably have no argument with you, nor do I have a problem with the people who worship with the church of Christ. I can agree to disagree with the best of them, but it's the hardline folks who get under my skin.
There is too much that should be accepted as true doctrine to live by to make up things and rant over man made lines drawn in the sand. Some people just love attention - at least that's what Jesus said:-) Some get it one way, some another....

Good word, Barnsweb, and my point with the hardnosed church of Christ guys. The ones who think that heaven is only going to be populated with people who believe exactly like they believe, like they've somehow managed to corner the market on salvation. I am not a universalist, and I do believe there is a line to be drawn in the sand - related to John 14:6, but I think Scripture bears out that God's mercy is a lot wider than these folks believe. Thank heavens!

But at the end of the day, we won't know until we get there, will we?

In the past few years I've been fortunate to have visited Stonehenge twice. Since the summer solstice is upon us and the Druids will be out and about I'm struck by how similar the CofC is to those folks waiting for the sun to rise over the heel stone. The Druids and the CofC both claim direct lineage to ancient people and events without even the slightest shred of supporting evidence.

Is my peanut courtesy of someone who believes the Druids of today do have direct lineage?

RELIGIOUS REVIEW WITH JAMES OLDFIELD AND MARK MCKINNIS

Mug shots shown of the Willis Brothers who was arrested in connection with the car burning and shooting death of Jessica Walker. A photo of Jessica Walker was also on the screen.

James Oldfield and Mark McKinnis were talking about other preachers especially Baptist. James Oldfield accused preachers of being criminals.

James Oldfield said those preachers were a criminal just like the Willis brothers. He added they may not have murdered.

Johnny Robertson was showing video clips of Jim Baker and Joyce Meyers shows on one of his shows.

Johnny Robertson repeated several times that preacher Jim Baker was a criminal speaking as if Jim Baker shouldn‘t be preaching. Funny Johnny Robertson is also a criminal.

As he showed several clips of Joyce Meyers doing one of her sermons Johnny referred to her as an individual who was not going to do what the Bible says.

During this time Johnny Robertson made the comment that Joyce Meyers was A MAN IN A WOMAN’S BODY. Johnny Robertson said she sounded like a man. Johnny said she was demonstrating by her speech and by her plans that she wanted to run things and she wants control. Johnny Robertson commented he wondered what her home was really like.????

What is a denomination? Talk about a man made word. Do you mean a non-Catholic Christian community.
I mean that every body of believers denominates itself, each focused on partial obedience and failing to follow some commands.

Thus the attempt by the churches of Christ to place themselves apart of the denominational process is simply wrong, and frankly a lie.

Have you started preparing the sale of your man made temples yet? You should!
