It would be nice if you could admit that those catholic teachings are not found in scripture. Instead you attack the messenger-as usual.
The Bishops were given the Authority by Jesus Christ Himself to organize the Church, to canonize Scripture, to develop liturgies, to teach and to explain the mysteries of Faith. The Bishops, guided by the Holy Spirit in Ecumenical Councils, have done so infallibly. It matters not if you accept this because billions of people do and have for centuries. And you are no more a messenger than one of my cats with a hairball.

<quoted text> Then if you have no no interest, then you are not willing to learn what the bible translation of certain words have been mistranslated, and certain verses mistranslated. EX: Angel came to annouced the birth of Christ, we are taught that the angel said, "peace on earth good will toward men. In the original Hebrew/Arabic language, the angels said, "Peace on earth to men of good will" this is a big difference. Base by what you been saying to some folks here, you have no clue what the Good News is. But I forgot, You go by what the CC says it is, not what Jesus say's it is. The nicence Creed was an Oath to the CC to remain loyal to all the teaching of the CC and that what the CC says here, over rides what was in the past.
I would so love to meet the person who agrees with you. Please keep up the good work.

To be honest, I am not concern who agrees or disagrees. The word of God is there for all to see. It's just folks don't know history on leaders changing words and mistranslation of what it originally said. Most times, it was by mistake, some times it was does on purpose. But the history is there to research it. Now if you are interested, It is called King James VERSIOn, because it was translated from the Greek Language. The Greek language was the most misunderstood language thru the known world. Some verses and words was taken out of content because the people of the times didn't understand what it was saying when translated. They place they own wording base on what they believe it was saying. This is why it is called King James Version. His idea on what he thinks it said.

There is not 1 thing in scripture that contradicts any Church teaching. Not one.

If you continue to be the messenger to blaspheme the Church Jesus started and said he would be protect from all evil, be willing to accept the response that you are ignorant of the Church and what the Bible teaches.

Your personal interpretation means nothing. It is not the written word of God.

She is the mother of the HUMAN Jesus, the anounted one. Why do we pray to Mary in the Rosary beads while the bible says pray to only the father or Jesus. Why is it on May 15 of every year in Fatima a huge celebration and adoration take place toward Mary.

I guess you are right, if the scripture doesn't use the word pope, or purgatory, it must ok because the catholic church says it is. I mean, there is no bible word for gay marraige so I guess the catholic church can approve it if they want to because the scripture does not mention it specifically. After all if the church changes the meaning of scripture to fit their doctrine it's no big deal.

We all know your johnny-come-lately Bible Church is far, far more likely to go for gay marriage!

And you are right...when the infallible Ecumenical Councils say something IS it IS. You and all prots accept more of these infallible teachings than you know or would ever admit.

Speaking about changing Scripture...it was the Commander in Chief and darling of the CofC and the Restoration Movement who changed or left out all the words in the New Testament he didn't like...yet you stuck with him for 25 years!!!

Cracks me up!!!

The coc's have been avoiding campbell for many years, I learned a lot more about him after leaving the coc.

As for the bible church I attend, we are a very conservative church when it comes to moral values and doctrinal issues. However we do accept people in our church from any race or religion without compromising the important stuff. They will have to accept the doctrine of salvation by grace before they can become members. Said another way, we try not to be legalistic. There are many progressive coc's that we can fellowship with. In fact Max lucado's coc has a senior pastor who came from a bible church. To be fair there are some bible churches out there that are very bad. One is Rob Bell's church.

The only changes made to the meaning of scripture happened after 1500 by Protestants.

Not ONE Christian for 1800 years believed what you believe today. For 1800 years they were all wrong.

Bobby is completely right though. He knows the perfect and infallible interpretation of a book created by and for the Catholic Church.

Your home should be shrine and we should have pilgrimages to it.

Go create your 'own' book and interpret away. Leave the CC's book alone.

Go study the scripture and stop adding tradition o it, then maybe we can find some agreement. Or you could just re write the scripture so that it fits with your modern traditional positions on worshiping mary, the infallible pope and purgatory.

Any agreement with scripture is impossible because of the your main doctrine.

The "Everybody is their own Pope" doctrine.

No Bible Church either but you apparently haven't noticed that.

Please name one multi-national, multi-billion dollar, multi-centuries old corporation with billions of stockholders without a CEO or COO. The very early development of the hierarchal organization of the Roman Catholic Church has to be envied even by Donald Trump! It has been copied by any number of prot churches. Of course the Bible Church, being so new, hasn't had to worry about anything like that.

The church is not a for profit business either, but that does happen. The catholic church is more profitable than Donald Trump.

What is the name of the church in the bible? lots of names are mentioned but nothing even close to Roman catholic church. Afraid the church of Christ has you beat there, it is mentioned many times but that does not make it the "only" true church.

Scripture tells us about church organization and even authorizes pay for the workers.

No popes or cardinals mentioned. No one person is ever in complete charge except Jesus who is our great high priest.

The Catholic Church spends all the money it takes in.

The yearly budget for the Vatican is around 300 million dollars.

The university of Alabama's yearly budget is 700 million.

All of the Church's so called wealth is in art, buildings and manuscripts

You spent 25 years in a man made group with the nerve to call itself the Church of Christ created by a former Baptist who even made his own version of the New Testament with left out and changed words. Now you are in another man made "Bible Church."

Some of us prefer the real thing that's 2,000 years old.

Campbell would not be welcome in most coc today. Especially where you come from. In better news, the transition to grace here is going extremely well. Most are very receptive to it. Not towing the party line is a nice burden to have off of the back.
