Anybody here want to see a Kentucky-Virginia matchup in the NIT?

If you have seen Kentucky play at all this year, the correct answer is "no we don't".

John, Chapter 6, 27: Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

Will a child of God with the Spirit of God dwelling within them, labour for anything that does not endureth unto everlasting life?

Sports and Games.

No sports are of God and endureth unto eternal life.

Entertaining yourself by watching people play sports.

Not of God and does not endureth unto eternal life.

Video games.

Not of God and does not endureth unto eternal life.

Movies and tv shows that are fictional and make believe.

Not of God and does not endureth unto eternal life.

Laboring for money and gold and silver.

Not of God and does not endureth unto eternal life.

Laboring for anything of this world.

Not of God and does not endureth unto eternal life.

Listening to music that is not of God.

Not of God and does not endureth unto eternal life.

Anything make believe and fictional.

entertaining yourself with it in anyway.

Not of God and does not endureth unto eternal life.

Any entertainment of this world.

Not of God and does not endureth unto eternal life.

Houses - land - cars - clothes - food - jewelry - gold - entertainment - stocks - bonds etc etc etc

all things of this world

Not of God and does not endureth unto eternal life.

If the fire can burn it up...it is not

Not of God and does not endureth unto eternal life.

If anything you are doing in your day can not pass through the fire...

Not of God and does not endureth unto eternal life.

People who do not love God with all their heart are not going to give up everything of this world.

If you love God with all your heart, how could anything or anyone else have any part of it.

God would have it all to himself.

If you love God with all your heart then that would mean there is no part of your heart for no one else or anything else.

If you love God with all your heart with all your mind with all your soul and with all your strength

God will be the only thing in your life everyday.

Hopefully UK don't play either again. Two losses, one a huge loss at Tennessee. Bad year for Big Blue, and can't even play first NIT game at home. Uggg.

They do play at home for the first game.

There's a problem with having security at the game in Rupp, so they have to play Robert Morris at their place. They can play the 2nd and 3rd rounds at home if they win.

Wow I didn't see that. What is wrong with Rupp?

The problem is that Rupp is hosting NCAA games this week and for some reason they won't have adequate security for a Tuesday night NIT game. At least that's the story here.

To make is worse, Louisville plays its first two NCAA games at Rupp.

Well I guess it's sort of a good problem to have. At least they still get to extend the season. My teams are all out.

Poor soul! Rough year for both. I was hoping West Virginia would end up in the SEC, but it didn't happen. Worst year Huggins has ever had. Auburn hoops is a perpetual mess. Hope you like football too!

Yeah I wanted WVU in the SEC but it didn't happen. So now we are stuck with Missouri instead. What a joke. Texas A&M is an OK add. Probably get VaTech and NCState before too long. 16 teams looks inevitable.

Auburn basketball is an absolute trainwreck. Didn't use to be. Had some good teams.

Like A&M. They are a good fit and seem to be flourishing in the SEC. Everybody else thought they would fail. Agree with Missouri. Nobody wants them do they? They should beg the Big 10 to take them, or beg the Big 12 to take em back. I would like to see Va Tech in the SEC. Really wanted them to make a run at Miami and Florida State. We'll see how it all shakes out.
Auburn just can't get it together. I remember the glory days with Barkley and the others. Sad to see the shape the program is in. Nice new arena, but horrible team and no one to watch it. Say the fans would like even to have the Cliff Ellis NIT days back there.

The coach at Auburn now is a Calipari protege. Tony Barbee. He has maybe one more year to do something. So far, his tenure has been awful.

SEC won't add schools in existing markets, I think. That leaves NC and VA as the target footprint for any expansion.

Hard to ask a man to turn around a sorry program that quickly without talent. Just not fair. He seems to be a good coach, just nothing to work with.
Speaking of sorry programs, UK LOST its first round NIT game at Robert Morris, whoever that it. Thank goodness this horrible season is over. Bring on football!
I hate what expansion has done to college sports. All the traditions are gone. But, times change. You are right about the markets-bit I wish more was in play than simply larger markets. NC and Va are the only southern states the SEC has no hold in. Va Tech and NC State probably are the top choices. Is NC State unhappy being #3 in the state? Perhaps they have Texas A&M's issue too, being little brother.

Barbee has had good recruiting but he can't keep players. I think 6 of 8 top notch guys have left, for various reasons. Throw in some bizarre substitution patterns and it just doesn't help his case.

He also punked the AD by waiting an entire year to sign his contract. In essence, he got a free $750K year added to his buyout. Not cool.

Word is that the SEC Commish has been making overtures to UNC and Duke. I just cannot see those two coming to the SEC though.

Probably the Big Ten for them, if the ACC is going to get picked clean.
