Bobby is partly right. What I was told by those closely associated with Shawn, is that God doesnít hear the sinners prayer for salvation. Its not that God Ďcannot hearí but doesnít acknowledge the sinners prayer- this is what I was told by those affiliated with Shawn Paden. Shawn can expound on this and correct me if I misrepresented him
Let me ask a question that this post has stimulated in my mind. If a person goes to a preacher, priest, pastor or other religious person and ask about salvation and they say just repeat this prayer after me.

Then they start reciting the SINNERS prayer that so many use. What should that teacher say if the person asked, "Can you show me that example in the bible."

Iíd turn to Saul as an example of one praying for 3 days. God obviously HEARD Saul. In those 3 days Iím certain Saul was repenting and seeking God in prayer. Iím also certain God heard him. Before you think I am defending a sinners prayer to be saved- Iím not. If you have a point I am missing, please state so.

The tent meeting is for unity. That is what Johnny Robertson said in his commercial for it.

What makes Johnny think we want unity with him?

What makes him think we have to see things his way?

What makes him think his way is right and everyone else is not?

Johnny, Heath, Mark, and the two mini-Robertsons don't get to insist anyone come to their pretend church inside their tent. They have to straighten up and behave themselves first. Start acting like mature men and not whining crying immature children who pout that nobody will come to play with them in their tent.

Heath a question. Bobby claims you teach that God does not hear sinners prayers. Would you expound on it.
Here's what I teach.

10 For "He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit.
11 Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it.
12 For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil."

Saul Paul is a great example. Yes he prayed for 3 days, he was a Jew. He was then advised what all had meant and what to do and it was not that His prayers had accomplished salvation, but that someone was sent to advise him, and the advise was...... Well you know the rest of the story.

I 100% agree. However, his prayers were still heard while he yet was a sinner. His prayers and seeking God were answered.

My feelings are this: the scripture from Peter Heath quoted is good. God is against the wicked, and will not hear them. But for the righteous, the one seeking God, it's a different story.

I have always stated that if someone is seeking God, God will make a way to be found. Saul prayed and Ananias was sent. Who knows; perhaps God still works in the same way?

I would think attitude of the heart would be a major part of whether or not God will hear or answer prayer. And I believe we should say whether God WILL OR WILL NOT hear; not CANNOT. As JC said, God decides what He does, not us for Him.

That is what the bible says but the question is does God hear all prayers or just hear the ones of the saved folk?

That's the answer.

Prayer is the privilege of the child if God. That one reason why the sinners prayer salvation won't work.

Wouldn't it be nice if for the guest of the tent if someone would bring and show the video where Johnny Robertson accused the underaged girls damcing in ballerina outfits at the Kernersville NC Church of showing their panties and themselves to the men. Johnny Robertson claims they were showing as much as you see in "kiddie porn shops".

It seemed Johnny Robertson was trying to deny what he said about the girls when some of us know that he did make all of the accusations against them.

Ok lets go a little further. Was Saul a Child of God? How about the Household of Cornelius whom it said prayed to God continually?

Now Brother Heath this question really deserves to be answered. I say God hears all peoples prayers all the time any time. What say ye?

That is the point Dave and I were trying to make. Obviously, the prayers of Cornelius were heard as was Saulís. However, Shawn Paden and others, teach that God does not/cannot hear a sinners prayer. To be fair, I believe Shawn is saying God will not save one by a prayer alone thus he believes it to be useless for a sinner to seek God through prayer.

God hears every word of every prayer prayed. It's not a matter of what God can hear. He knows all.

God hears the prayers of everyone looking for Him. Heath is mad because he wants to be the one who decides who God hears, and God won't let him.

Heath thinks God doesn't hear you unless you're dunked in water with the right words ("for remission of sins") spoken over you. That's not in the Bible. Heath and Johnny and the rest of their cult made that up.

The tent meeting is not going good. If it was Johnny wouldn't be obsessing on Larry Surber, showing off his sons Micah and Caleb like they're anointed by God to be over everyone.

Johnny and the Church of Christ in Martinsville and Danville have become a sideshow joke. The whole community is laughing at them and Charles Roark's TV station now running ads for gay sex websites.
